Our townhouse was clean and comfortable. The location was ideal for our needs. Would stay again.
Clean, neat and very reasonable
Older condo but still very nice, there is a small vestibule to store the bikes. Condo was clean and neat and has a community pool and whirlpool, after 2-3 hours in Cuyuna mountain bike trails the whirlpool was awesome. Condo is about 8-10 miles from the MTB staging area and was perfect for us! Walk down to the lake it's a very nice place very quiet and relaxing, we had a great time.
Property well kept overall...
Pros: Well kept property, spacious living room, open, as described and as shown in pics.
Please keep in mind that I'm truly not a hard person to please but as a seasoned traveler across the country, here were my issues that I brought to the attention of the owner Jason.
Cons: There is a booklet on kitchen table which explains things but the biggest detail missing was exactly where to get wood for fireplace. So we were unable to use it. There were only 2 washcloths in bathroom for a 3 night stay, so we purchased some ourselves. The patio door was not sliding correctly so we also purchased WD40 as we didn't want anything to break and lose deposit. There was also only one garbage bag in kitchen, so we purchased those. The blankets in closets smelled like they were not washed between visitors. To no fault of owner, some teens locked the door to the hottub and sauna building thus we were unable to use it. Then on another occasion, the hottub was very cool to the point we had to get out and leave. Our biggest reason for choosing this property was for the hottub and fireplace. Then the worst of it was that the coffee pot filter that was never emptied, had mold growing on the old coffee grounds! I have allergies to mold and this simple oversight could have caused a hospital visit.
I totally understand that the owner can't control everything hence the reason I discussed these issues with him and he was very nice. But, considering the amount one pays and the money we personally spent buying idems that should've been stocked, the hottub issues and so forth...the professional thing to do is at least reimburse a nights stay. We come to the area yearly for NHRA racing as we love it and I personally know ppl within the NHRA.
Despite the above issues, I truly believe Jason will take my concerns seriously and improve. This wouldn't stop me from reccomending this rental.
We really enjoyed our weekend at Bay Lake Wilderness. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. I really loved the fact that there was a locked area on the first floor where we could store our bikes. This was a big plus for us as we took them out often to explore the area. I would definitely stay here again!
Our Bay Lake Wilderness Townhome was just right for us. Unfortunately the weather was not, but the accommodations made up for it. Jerry was great to work with on site and made our late arrival and unexpected early check out a breeze. The pictures are a true reflection of the comfort and coziness of the space. Super quiet so GREAT SLEEPING!
The place was super clean and the pet friendly aspect of it really met our needs.
