Close to Denver (15 min.) & Boulder (20 min.), nightlife, public transport, parks, airport (30 min.), hiking & outdoor activities, and stores & restaurants in walking distance. Very spacious home, large backyard w/patio & fire pit. Great place for singles, couples, families or big groups. 2 Pack-n-plays and a Queen air mattress available to sleep up to 12-13.

Our house was a flip, so there are a lot of new things that were added and walls that were knocked down to make it really spacious. The main floor is an open floor plan with a huge updated kitchen, living room, family room w/TV, and kid's nook. We've easily fit 40 people on the main floor for holiday parties.

The backyard is a private, shady area. The covered porch allows for morning coffee or nighttime smore's.

There are 4 bedrooms upstairs with 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a Tempurpedic mattress & full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed, while the 3rd bedroom has a single loft bed. Bedroom 4 has a Queen bed and toddler bed. These rooms share a full bathroom. We have available 2 pack-n-plays if needed.

The finished basement houses the 5th bedroom with King bed, another full bathroom, laundry room (full size washer & dryer), playroom, and rec room with TV. A Queen sized air mattress is also available.

Access to the whole house except Garage (there is parking in the driveway & on the street), bedroom closets & dressers.

We will be just 15 min. away, and available to answer any questions or give suggestions of our favorite spots to check out.

Walking paths to 3 parks within a mile of the house. Standley Lake is nearby with nature center and water vehicles for rent. Quick access to downtown Denver and Boulder with great nightlife and cultural activities, or access to the mountains for hiking, skiing, rock climbing, and exploring. Movie theaters, shops, restaurants and breweries all a short drive away. Butterfly Pavilion, Colorado Mills Mall, Flatirons Mall, Pearl Street Mall, etc. Close to Hwy 36, I-70 & I-25. Only 30-35 minutes from Denver International Airport. 15 minutes to Denver or 20 minutes to Boulder.

Perfect location for attending Colorado School of the Mines graduation

This house was perfect for our family of 11 adults. Very spacious and comfortable. Owner was extremely responsive by delivering batteries for the air pump to blow up air mattress. Both living areas on the main floor are sunken which is important for you to note if someone in your party has mobility issues.

Great for families

House is comfortable, spacious and clean. 3.5 Stars. Had a few issues.

In general, we found home to be comfortable, spacious, clean. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of hot water for showers each day. Bathrooms were very clean. While it was somewhat adequate for our needs, we did have a couple of issues.

1st, the electrical outlets in the kitchen did not work. We reset the GFI on the sink counter side and got those outlets to work, but not the side with the microwave or stove. We contacted the owner thru Home Away and stated the electrical problems. They contacted us back, telling us to check the outside breaker box for a tripped breaker. None were tripped or labeled. We did not feel comfortable going thru all the breakers, for fear of shutting something down, so we just dealt with out the microwave and the oven. We were able to light the gas cooktop burners using a butane flame starter. We told the owner we would work around this since we had a gas grill to use if we really needed it. The owner checked with us to see if the microwave was working. We informed them it was not. We did not hear back from the owner about this issue and they did not check back with us to see if any of these issues were resolved, even after we provided a contact phone number.

2nd, A/C did not provide even cooling throughout the house. Basement was a meat cooler and second floor was stifling warm. Unfortunately, these floors are bedroom areas, which made for uncomfortable sleeping. When contacted, the owner repeated info on the instruction sheet, which didn't change the situation. In their defense, it was 95+ degrees out, but that does not excuse the system being inadequate.

Without a stove or microwave, we considered using the gas grill on the rear patio until we took the cover off and opened it. It was not something anyone wanted to use, looking like it had not been cleaned for some time. We immediately put the cover back on.

We smelled a "Come & Go” (almost dead body) odor in the rear patio area. It stumped everyone as to its origin forcing us at times back into the house to get away from it. On the 3rd day, it was finally found to be coming from a fly catch container that was hanging from a rafter of the patio overhang. We moved it away from the patio to the back of the yard. We did not smell it again after that.

As stated before we found this home to be comfortable, spacious and clean. What we were most dissatisfied with was the lack of follow up from the owner to make sure everything was working during our stay.

Owner's Response: In our house manual, all guests are provided a Contact person for all possible house issues and questions. When we are in town, I am the Contact. When out of town, we provide an alternate Contact who is only 10 minutes away. This particular guest was provided our alternate Contact since we were out of the country with an 8 hour time difference. When we were contacted about the electrical concerns, we responded with several suggestions to improve the problem, but being overseas did make for a time delay. When we checked in after offering solutions, there was no response so it was assumed all was well. Guests never reached out to our Contact with need for additional help. When our house cleaners arrived they pushed 1 of 2 kitchen GFCI buttons and all was fine. As a 3 story older house, the upstairs can be difficult to cool, so the house manual advises the use of both the air conditioning and evaporative cooler which keeps the upstairs cooler during the night hours. When this booking was made, the house only advertised an evaporative cooler. We installed a brand new air conditioning system after this booking was made to help guests be more comfortable and exponentially better than with just the evaporative cooler. When we arrived home though, it was noticed that the cooler was not functioning at full capacity, and it was immediately fixed. The grill is not something that is cleaned by our cleaning crew, so understand that this may have looked bad. We do provide grill cleaning utensils hoping that all guests will clean after use. Our fly catcher hangs outside to keep flies from coming inside during the summer months. I can certainly appreciate if it started to smell, as this is not something my cleaning crew changes. In the future, we will look to be sure these are changed by our cleaning crew. We look to provide the best experience possible for our guests, including all communication. When we are in the area we are only 15 minutes away. Our alternate Contact is only 10 minutes away. We want to be sure all needs are quickly addressed and our guests are comfortable.

It was perfect.

Our stay was enjoyed by all. Our stay consisted of 8 adults and found the house to be spacious and comfortable. The location was convenient to dining, shopping, grocery stores and access to highways. I was not sure how to use the second floor cooling system but found the fan sufficient having cool nights. We had no problems with the house and were able to enjoy our stay. I would recommend staying at this location to anyone who asks.
