The Jenkins Creek Cottage provides total quiet from the noise and aggravations of hotels and motels as it encompasses 13 acres! Located on St. Helena's Island, it is just 10 minutes from downtown Beaufort, SC. Walk the grounds or drink your coffee or wine at the end of the covered dock on the property. Sunrise to sunset, this breezy tidal creek is a nature lovers delight.
Jenkins Creek Cottage is leased by the week, long weekend or month. It is not simply a vacation home as it is a true hideaway from the hub-bub of life. It is ideal for those who are interested in looking over the Beaufort area or simply want a respite. It is fully furnished and although we love animals, we ask for no pets. The upper level bedroom has no bathroom so pls be advised that the house is not designed for 3-4 couples who want privacy!
There is an 8 foot deep pond right next to the house so your scenic view from the screened porch is lovely. Warning: we are 1/2 mile down a dirt road which we maintain in good condition (weather permitting!). We have an outdoor barbeque/oyster pit too!
We have just completed the upper attic loft area. It is upstairs and has no bathroom but has 4 twin beds under eves and a playroom area for kids/teens. It is ideal for a family or 2-3 couples. We do not accept 8+ people as the house is designed for smaller groups.

Why beth chose Saint Helena Island
We bought the property and built the barn then the cottage. We love it as it is a perfect getaway from the 'busyness' of life!

Quiet, peaceful retreat on St. Helena Island!
Quiet, secluded, peaceful, and serene. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to be. I knew what the property offered from the description, but the Jenkins farm exceeded our expectations. We loved the long, meandering driveway that led to the home. We loved that we were able to see wildlife...turkeys, eagles, deer. We had access to a pier that jutted way out to the waterway and watched beautiful sunsets from it. We watched sunrises from the screened porch. The house was fully stocked, had tons of character and charm, and we felt right at home. We really didn't want to leave...wished we could have stayed another week! Thank you Beth and Dr. Gene for your hospitality!
You have aptly captured exactly what we feel. My husband worked hard to create his get-away. Thank you for appreciating his dream.
Wonderful place to go with your family and "unplug". Very private. House was nicer than expected
Perfect Getaway. Our family (my wife and two girls) had a great time. It is secluded yet still very convenient to the beach, restaurants, and grocery store. You are literally at the end of a road that stops in the marsh. We fished and crabbed off the dock. We caught plenty of crab and also managed to catch some redfish and trout with the bait we caught in the creek. The owners (Mr and Mrs Grace) were readily available but not intrusive. No problems or complaints. Everything was as advertised. We hope to return soon
We love families who enjoy our place. Thank you for coming to Jenkins Creek.
Great place, great time
Beautiful quiet property. Owners were so nice and helpful. House was gorgeous and the upstairs was kid ready. We will be visiting again.
We love it when folks enjoy our place like we do. Please do come again.
Jenkins Creek Farm House is the perfect place to escape. It is perfect for quite a few occasions, from buddies trips to family gatherings. It is not the easiest place to find but definitely worth the effort. The owners are fantastic to work with and the place has everything you need to sit back and relax. We went fishing from the dock and even when it rained we just got under the covered portion of the dock and kept on fishing. It rained for most of the trip and I would recommend if you rent this place and rain is in the forecast to drive a truck or some type of SUV. It is fine in a car, but it will get a little muddy. I had no trouble in my pickup. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.
Also, the owners had an extensive supply of area recommendations from sporting, touring, and restaurants.
There is no doubt that I look forward to visiting JCFH again. Thanks for sharing!!!
So glad that you all enjoyed our place like we do! It is a hideaway yet close to so much.
We absolutely love Jenkins Farm. It's truly a vacation in itself! Such a beautiful property.
This was our third visit to the farm and we will return. My family has fallen in love with this space. The natural surroundings are truly divine. We use this spot as a jumping off point for Hunting Island State Park and Beaufort, but we are equally satisfied with staying on property and enjoy the beautiful vibe. On this trip we were privy to wild Turkeys joining us every morning on our walks and bike rides. Thanks again to the owners of this spot for sharing such an amazing place.
Thank you thank you! We love happy visitors too 🤗
This was our second time staying here and will definitely be back!
Beautiful house and property! Loved visiting Beaufort and Savannah and exploring St. Helena Island. Perfect vacation!
Thank you, Anne. We are so happy that you love it like we do! Please come often.
Great area for history buffs as Beaufort is over 300 yrs old and has two of SC's 3 National Historic Landmark Districts w/ antebellum homes. The town of Beaufort is fabulous walking, dining and shopping area. The state park, Hunting Island, is very close by. Beaufort is the home of The Penn Center-- another National Landmark District. Many local nature activities are available.
