Anyone hoping to be near Duke University or University of North Carolina, check this out! We are about a 25 minute drive away from both.
Our home is nestled in 13 acres of woods smack dab in the middle of North Carolina. We have a pond full of little fish that we can catch and release, and a wide variety of birds and wildlife who consider this their safe place to thrive. Ours is a typical brick house, with a bungalow above the garage for guests. It's really quiet here, except once in a while our birds make a bit of a racket. And then, there's the turkey's. Six fat ones meander through our yard from time to time.
We are both San Francisco Bay Area born and raised. Yet now, transplanted to the South, as North Carolinians we often sit on the front porch rocking chairs and watch nature just to pass the time. Or we follow our leafy paths that meander through the woods for a nice, peaceful walk. The bungalow is quiet, too. A double wall separates it from the upper house. With a microwave, tv, internet and a cozy bed to snuggle in it's the perfect hide-away get-away! Access stairs are private also.
This place looks like a picture post card during most months of the year when Autumn leaves are turning.
