Although this property is privately positioned it is still within walking distance to village shops, newsagent, bottle shop, butcher, bakery, restaurants and cafe. There are 2 public parks located at opposite ends of the beach which offer picnic tables and BBQ facilities. When launching your boat there is a 2 lane all tide boat ramp at the rear of Salamander Shores Hotel or a 4 lane all tide boat ramp at Soldiers Point (approx. 5 minutes by car).
With your own private oasis by the water you could simply kick back and relax with a nice glass of wine, a good book or enjoy an Aussie BBQ on the decking with friends. There are 2 grassed areas for the kids to play as well as the sandy beach and the calm bay waters. Whilst on holidays there is so much to do including: parasailing, kayaking, fishing, quad bike riding, camel rides, horse trail rides, scenic helicopter rides, scuba diving and of course whale and dolphin watching which has made Port Stephens a well-known destination for tourists. Try the fresh local produce or dine in one on the many award winning restaurants. Stay once and youll want to come back time, and time again!
DOWNSTAIRS offers: a paved entertainment area, a grassed area with direct beach access, a 2nd grassed fully fenced are for your pet, a living area with comfortable lounges including a double sofa bed,flat screenTV with surround sound, VCR, DVD, FOXTEL, fireplace, a fully equipped laundry with top loading washing machine and dryer plusa 2nd bathroom and internal access to the single lock-up garage.
UPSTAIRS offers: a combined air conditioned lounge and dining room, 2x 2 seater red leather lounges,flat screenTV, DVD, CD player and a large timber dining suite. The modern kitchen comes fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, stove, oven and microwave. All 3 bedrooms are located on the upstairs level and offer a King Sized Bed, a Queen Sized Bed and a Tri-Bunk Bed. There is a large bath and shower plus vanity in the bathroom and a separate toilet. There is a fabulous covered full length deck which offers amazing water views, an outdoor setting, sun chairs and an electric BBQ.
GUEST COMMENTS We stayed 123 Foreshore Drive, Salamander Bay 11th - 14th April 2014 My husband and our 3 adult children and their partners really enjoyed our weekend away in Salamander Bay. The house is lovely with a stunning outlook over the bay. I have never stayed in a house with absolute water frontage before and loved being able to go for a walk along the sand at any time or just sit on the deck and enjoy the view. The house is very well presented and has so many additional features such as a huge DVD collection and books plus the kayak and paddle skis were an added bonus. Our children loved the down stairs lounge room with the "massive" TV and spent most of their time in this room when they were not outside enjoying the water and views. It was also wonderful that our dog was able to join us for the weekend. We were all disappointed our stay was only a short one but hopefully we will be back to "Sandranch" again next year.
