Check in was a mess. Took me two before I could get into the condo. I never received check in instructions. Called and texted the contact and no answer. Called VRBO directly and they confirmed twice that I never received check in instructions. Vrbo told me to go to hotel and they would cover my costs. But it was a busy weekend plus I had a dog. No alternative place was available. Finally condo management contacted me with where to find the keys. Told me they sent me check in instructions. I Never received instructions. Anyway took 2 hours of panic before I could be sure I had a place to stay. Check out: I went to office to drop off the keys. Neon sign said open. Office was closed at 9:15 am. Was trying to text management AGAIN when a worker comes up to the office to open up. I just handed her the keys and left in disbelief in the incompetence of these place. The Condo was old and of need of a serious update. Carpet is stained and everything is old. But for single guy just to go fishing and hiking it’s ok. Wouldn’t take a family there though.

Decent

Overall decent place to stay. There are a couple of reasons for the 4 stars. The wifi and password were not posted anywhere within the unit. Had to call the reservation office for it. The WiFi ended up being terrible. Just used our data. The fridge was set to the lowest setting. Noticed this after we spent over $300 at the grocery store. Check the setting before you buy groceries. Never had this happen at any other condo up here. Also, the ice maker in the freezer doesn’t work so plan on buying ice. Other than these, it was a decent stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was not worth $408 per night. Every plate in the cupboard was cracked. There were 20+ coffee cups and 1 wine glass. Yes, just 1 wine glass. The kitchen utensils were sorely lacking, the stove is from the 1970's and there were multiple light bulbs out.

Perfect for what I wanted

I wanted to get out of LA and enjoy a couple of days with my dog - worked out great - cold weather, snow, etc. The roads required chains but all was wonderful (because I had winter tires on 4WD).

Weekend snowboarding trip

We were two couples who stayed at the property and we had a great experience. The property was very clean and close to the village and brewery. Would stay here again.

Terrible unit and property manager

First off, I rarely leave a review on anything and I come to Mammoth a lot. But this unit and especially the management company was terrible. The manager Jeff was not professional and clearly didn't want to help us out and be reasonable with us at all. I'm sure he treats most of his clients this way and most just let it go. When we arrived, there were 3 different recreation codes that allowed you to enter the very nice rec room in the complex. All 3 were wrong. We couldn't enter the rec room or the pool area at all. I called the emergency number (it was the only way I could reach anyone) they gave and left a message and no one returned the call. Thank goodness it wasn't a real emergency. There was also no WIFI connection at all. There were dirty stains on the carpet all throughout the unit. The unit was old and dirty and needed repairs. The oven looked like it was from the 1960's and very hard to work. I finally got hold of someone named Kim the next day and she apologized. She gave me the correct rec room code and provided me with a nearby unit's WIFI. She was nice and tried to help us. I told her we missed out on a night of the rec room because of their mistakes and I asked for some type of compensation. She replied that there would be some type of compensation and said they would get back to me. She also said she was covering for the regular person for that day only. No one ever got back to me. I emailed them numerous times which I did not enjoy doing on vacation. Then Jeff (property manager) finally contacted me and said that Kim was only covering for 1 day and that the code for the rec room was on the door (There were 3 incorrect codes). He also said WIFI was not a guarantee. He lastly said that our check out time was 10am. I advised him in a previous email that I had a confirmation of an 11 am check out time and that I took a screen shot to prove it. Jeff disregarded what I said and told me that he could provide me with the email that states 10am. WHAT HORRIBLY CUSTOMER SERVICE! He did say that they would give me a 10% discount if I booked with their management company directly in the future. Wow, how oblivious is this guy to think I would book with them in the future and that he was doing me a solid by giving me 10% off - what a joke. I attempted to give him many chances to do the right thing. Avoid this place at all cost. Once they have your money they don't care.

Perfect quick get-a-way.

Great little place with the prefect location. However, the shower & kitchen appliances leave a bit to be desired. Complex does have a fun pool& hot tub with a rec room & laundry.

A NICE PLACE PLACE

This was a very clean condo, everything was great except there was no fans in the condo, called the management group and they delivered a fan later that day! The condo itself is very simply furnished, didn't use any of the amenities. The only bad thing was there was no internet connection after the first day, it kept saying invalid password, it was not a big deal, didn't bother calling mgmt. Would stay there again.

I understand low output for drought reasons but think this one was overdone. Took forever to wash off soap or body wash so don't think it really saved water and was a big pain.

Disappointing

I chose this condo based on the excellent ratings and reviews of prior tenants. They all seemed to agree that the unit was clean. It wasn't. As soon as we walked in, we noticed many pet stains on the carpet. Some looked very fresh, as if they hadn't even been blotted up. I understand this is a pet-friendly rental, but someone needs to take some responsibility for cleaning it. A tenant noted in a review from 2 years ago the dishwasher isn't anchored and tips out. Well, it still does. There was a bag of dog poop on the deck. Someone tossed 2 dirty plastic chairs onto the deck after we arrived, and I had to wash off one of them before I could sit on it. There is dirt on the inside of the front door around the knob. There were just too many maintenance issues to mention here. Basically, the unit is shabby and suffering from serious neglect. Also I didn't think it was especially well-equipped. I suspect the owner never stays in this condo and is unaware of the deplorable condition. I don't know whose responsibility it is to monitor the situation, but that person isn't doing his/her job. I'm not an especially picky person, but I like to get what I pay for, and I paid for a cleaner/nicer place than this. On the positive side, it was nice to be across the street from the bike/walking path and in a fairly quiet location. The exterior of the units in the complex appears to be well cared for, and the grounds are clean.

Nice condo. It’s in a great location, away from the town and close to the lakes. Very quiet. Pet friendly is a definite plus since we love taking our dog.

Home away from home!

This condo was clean, cute and perfect for our family. It was perfectly located not far from Canyon Lodge. It was fully stocked with anything you might need, from spices to games, DVDs to candles! The entire condo complex was quiet too. You'll love it!

Ski vacation

Wonderful apartment, clean and cozy. Perfect for 3 people.Shuttle stop was around the corner which was very convenient . Reasonably priced, and we were able to take our dog with us. It was a nice vacation
