About the home
“The Aframe” is a delightful double-storey family home in Corinella close to the beach, opposite the Corinella General Store & Hughes Reserve, and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Grantville & San Remo. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living (with 55" smart TV & coonara-style wood heater) provides access to a fully equipped Laundry/Bathroom (with shower & toilet plus washing machine & clothes dryer) that in turn leads out to the rear Sunroom. Upstairs the central hallway provides access to Bedroom 1 (with clothes rack), Bedroom 2 (with wardrobe), a Bathroom (with double shower) a separate Toilet and a Study Nook. Bedroom 3 is accessed from the hallway and in turn leads through to Bedroom 4.
Outdoor Areas
The rear fully enclosed sunroom provides a delightful indoor/outdoor area (seating for 9 plus bar-style seating for 3 more) provides access through to the fully enclosed yard which features a gas BBQ (under cover), an outdoor shower, and is perfect for children and pets. The downstairs Porch (with 2 deck chairs) is a lovely North facing space, as is the upstairs Balcony (with another 2 deck chairs) that has water views. The carport is best used as an undercover area for the rear yard, rather than for parking, however there is space to park up to 5 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the long driveway.
Opposite the home is the Harold Hughes Reserve Playground, which features swings, slides, an inground trampoline, climbing walls, communal electric BBQ with under-cover seating, a cricket net, skate ramp and lots of open space (perfect for ball games and for pets).
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Delonghi Lattissima One Automatic Capsule coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are three wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one each in the downstairs Living Room, Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 4, ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1 & 2 plus one additional stand-alone fan and two portable heaters which can be used where required. There is also a coonara-style wood heater (enough wood we be supplied to get you started).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 8 beds, accommodating up to 12 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Single bed
Bedroom 4 (Upstairs): One Double bed, One set of Single bunks and one Tri bunk bed
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Bedroom 4 is accessed through Bedroom 3.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
