Truly charming location and superb view of the lake. The pontoon is a plus. We enjoyed watching a loon family on a daily basis. Having a washer and dryer was wonderful. There is no wifi at the cabin, but the Cross Lake Community Center and Library have awesome connection. Amy and Brad were good about responding to our questions. Check-in was easy.
Great Cabin Experience
What a great cabin! My two brothers and a friend thoroughly enjoyed our time at this Crosslake cabin and plan to return again next year. It’s an old school cabin with a lot of modern updates including tiled bathrooms/shower, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a large TV with the Dish network that included the NFL channel so we could watch Thursday Night Football. Thank You!
We read a couple of the past negative reviews and didn’t run into any problems they mentioned. Apparently the owners took note and fixed everything mentioned. All the windows worked, plenty of plates and wine glasses, no weird smells, beds were comfortable, plenty of storage space for clothes, no water in the basement (not sure why you would want to go down there. It’s just a furnace, water heater, utility type stuff.) The only problem we ran into was a ceiling bulb out in one of the bedrooms, which I’m sure will be fixed by the time you read this. Also, note the bedroom in the converted garage only has one set of light switches by the door. You may want to bring a flashlight so you don’t have to walk to your bed in the dark.
Great firepit overlooking the lake and plenty of firewood. Awesome views! The pontoon was also amazing. It was huge and had a 50 hp engine that started on the first try. It also had a working radio and canopy for sunny days. Also, there are now ropes available on the pontoon if you want to tie up to a restaurant dock. (NOTE: Be sure to fill it with gas when you’re done with it. A small price to pay for an otherwise free pontoon.)
Overall a 5 star experience for us. Thank You! We shall return!
