Επιδαύρου. Μια τέτοια ιστορικά, πολιτισμικά, και αισθητικά μοναδικό χώρο, ακόμη και για τα πρότυπα στην Ελλάδα. Φημισμένα για να είναι η γενέτειρα του Απόλλωνα ο γιος του Ασκληπιού, του θεού της θεραπείας και της ιατρικής, της Επιδαύρου ήταν γνωστή για το ιερό του, και ακόμη περισσότερο για το θέατρο, το οποίο είναι ακόμα σε χρήση σήμερα? ένα αρχιτεκτονικό αριστούργημα θαυμάζω για την εξαιρετική ακουστική του, η οποία φιλοξενεί εξαίσια θεατρικές και μουσικές παραστάσεις σε δροσερά βράδια του καλοκαιριού. Συνδυάζοντας απότομους λόφους, πλούσια βλάστηση, και φυσικά υπέροχες παραλίες, είναι απλά μια απόλαυση να βλέπεις.

Επιδαύρου βρίσκεται στην καρδιά της πιο αγαπημένες ιστορικές περιοχές στην Ελλάδα. Μια μικρή απόσταση σχεδόν σε οποιαδήποτε κατεύθυνση θα σας οδηγήσουν στην Αρχαία Κόρινθο, τα ερείπια της Αρχαίες Μυκήνες, το κάστρο-λιμάνι του Ναυπλίου, Τίρυνθας Αρχαία, και πολλά άλλα ιστορικά μνημεία, όλα είναι συνυφασμένα με ένα θαυμάσιο παράκτιο τοπίο. Η βίλα Θάλεια διαχωρίζεται από 5 λεπτά περπάτημα από μια μεγάλη παραλία επαίρεται κρυστάλλινα νερά, και απέχει λιγότερο από 20 λεπτά θα φτάσετε στο αρχαίο θέατρο και παραστάσεις του.

Βίλα Θάλεια περιβάλλεται από ένα μεγάλο ιδιωτικό κήπο Προσφορά-πλήρη μυστικότητα στον Estate-, γεμάτο με μεσογειακή βλάστηση που κυμαίνονται από τα εσπεριδοειδή, τα βότανα, τα μπαχαρικά, και ντόπια λαχανικά όλων των ειδών που περιμένει να γευτεί. Οι εσωτερικούς χώρους της βίλας Θάλεια είναι αρκετά μοναδικά σε στυλ, και πολύ ευρύχωρα. Η ιστορία δύο κτήμα διαθέτει 2 μεγάλα σαλόνια, 2 κουζίνες, 6 υπνοδωμάτια με διπλά κρεβάτια (3 σε κάθε όροφο), 3 μπάνια, και ένα επιπλέον μεγάλη βεράντα. Η θέα από την κορυφή βεράντα ορόφου έχει θέα σχεδόν όλο το κήπο και πισίνα, ενώ η αύξηση όρασή σας θα αποκαλύψει την ριπή του Αιγαίου και τα μοναδικό σχήμα λόφους της Επιδαύρου. Οι δύο όροφοι είναι ενδιαφέρον είναι εντελώς διαφορετικό στυλ. Κλασικό πέτρα και το μάρμαρο κυριαρχούν στους κύριους χώρους διαβίωσης στον τελευταίο όροφο, ενώ ελαφρύτερα χρώματα και το ξύλο κυριαρχούν στο ισόγειο. Και οι δύο όροφοι είναι όμορφα διακοσμημένα και και ιδιαίτερα πρακτικό, έτσι ώστε η επιλογή της κρεβατοκάμαρας και δαπέδου εξαρτάται από το προσωπικό σας γούστο.

Our stay at Mrs Elpida's was exactly as we hoped for - relaxing amidst fruit groves, with a long view and an easy walk to the sea. The accommodations were clean and neat, and we had everything we needed to cook and care for all 7 of us, three generations of family from ages 8 to 84. The pool was perfect for the children to play and my mother to exercise, the fruits were plentiful, and the variety of beaches in the area - only 20' drive away - made every day a new pleasure. We received prompt attention from Mrs Elpida for any questions or needs we had. Thank you for the week!

Great property. Very spacious and well maintained with all amenities. Very close to the sea, beach bars and restaurants. Great communication from booking to checkout time by owners and always on hand. Great welcome guides Pool is good. Around 1.5m deep so perfect for swimming and lounging around. Balcony terrace has incredible view and perfect for evenings. Not all 6 bedrooms have air con but nights are not that hot even in August and the provided fans were sufficient.

Greece trip

We were a group of two families from Canada. 4 adults and 4 kids aged from 2 to 7. This property was excellent. It was a very authentic villa with oranges growing in the property that the property manager put aside for us to juice. Many sights and towns within a short drive. Pool was great and kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves when we were there. Underwater city and beach a short drive away was a highlight. We would stay here again.

Beautiful villa in great location

Villa Thalia was perfect for our multigenerational family The children adored the pool and there were lots of places to sit and relax The view from the upstairs terrace is breathtaking Being able to walk to the local beach and tavernas was a bonus with a well stocked supermarket a short drive up the hill. We visited the beaches In Epidavros as well as visited the ancient amphitheater and Mycenae an easy hours drive away All in all a perfect holiday.

September in Epidavros

We rented the full house (which is divided in two separate floors, each with 3 bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms) for the month of September. Checkin was smooth, with the owners present in person. Even at full occupancy (12 adults) the house was cosy and comfortable. During the first week of our stay, Greece was hit by unusually bad weather, with non-stop thunderstorms and heavy rain for more than 24 hours. It was rather epic. The house did not quite stand up to this assault, with 2 of the 3 upstairs bedrooms and the upstairs kitchen flooding due to leaking windows and roof. Fortunately, we had no guests at that point in time, and the caretaker of the house (Petros, thank you!) came to help us clean things up. It took several days for water and electric to return to the neighborhood, but after that everything was fine and great, with beautiful weather. We got compliments and thanks from all our guests for the beautiful house and the great location. The house was cleaned weekly, and fresh sheets and towels provided (Elvira, thank you!), so that everything was tip-top during our entire stay. Communications with the owners were timely, to the point, helpful, and friendly at all times. Thank you, Chris and Elpida! We would definitely recommend Villa Thalia for a family get-together of shorter or longer duration.

Best family holiday ever!

We had the perfect summer holiday here! The villa is amazing, peaceful, clean and so pleasant. A morning coffee in the veranda, watching the gorgeous private garden and enjoying a dip in the pool: heaven! This place is ideal for families. We were a group of 10 adults and 2 children and we were all accommodated. The kids loved the pool (of course!) and had a lot of space for their games, without disturbing the quiet members of our group who preferred a nice corner with their book. There is also a lot of room for dining at the veranda where everyone can be together and very comfortable. We were positively surprised at how cool it was inside the house, even though we visited during peak summer. There is airconditioning in all the rooms but we hardly needed to use it at all, especially on the ground floor. Beyond the amazing villa, the surrounding area also has so many things to offer. There is a lovely beach a few minutes away and then there are lots of places to visit. We felt like we are at the heart of Greece, able to explore all the wonderful things: delicious food, glorious sun, scenic walks, ancient ruins, towns, museums. Definitely visit Ancient Mycenae! We also spent a couple of afternoons in Nafplio, a walk around the old city downtown is a must and for the cherry on top, have some ice cream by the sea side. Villa Thaleia

Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa Thaleia war sehr erholsam. Innerhalb von 7 Minuten zu Fuß ist man am Meer. Die Villa bietet viele Zimmer, die meisten davon haben eine Klimaanlage. Auch der Pool war sehr sauber und kühl. Wir freuen uns auf nächste mal.

Eine Sommerwoche in Epidaurus

Wir haben, gemeinsam mit der Familie (mit 7 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern), eine sehr schöne Woche in der Villa verbracht. Das Haus mit seinen zwei kompletten Wohneinheiten war nahezu perfekt für uns. Jede Partei konnte ein Schlafzimmer belegen und es gab ein weiteres Zimmer, indem noch jemand hätte unterkommen können, wenn es Bedarf gegeben hätte. Der Pool wurde von unser supergerne angenommen, hatte eine perfekte Größe und wurde zum Mittelpunkt unseres Tagesablaufes. Leider fehlte eine große Palme am Grillplatz (ist im Prospekt sichtbar aber real nicht mehr vorhanden), den wir auch gerne zum gemeinsamen Essen nutzten. Dadurch fehlte Schatten, zumindest bei den extremen Temperaturen im Juli. Leider waren zwei der Schlafzimmer nicht mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet, was bei den hohen Temperaturen, insbesondere Nachts, belastend war. Ansonsten haben wir uns in dem wunderschönen und weitläufigen Haus, sowie dem Grundstück sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Hausservice war gut erreichbar und hat sofort geholfen. Fragen wurden schnell beantwortet. Positiv erwähnen möchten wir noch, dass neben Duschtüchern auch leichte Außenbadetücher bereit lagen. Insgesamt können wir das Haus sehr empfehlen!

A wonderful place to stay with a family with small children. Excellent view and close to the beach.

A perfect family retreat in Greece

I had the magnificent pleasure of spending 5 weeks in Villa Thallia during this Summer. The grounds look even better in person than they do on the listing! From the beginning communication with the property manager, Alex was excellent- very prompt, warm and enthusiastic, sharing the many options for travel to and around the location and assuring me that Epidarus is a great area of Greece to spend time. Upon arrival it was clear that Villa Thallia was special- sitting in grove of trees laden with oranges, grapefruits, a cherry tree, vegetable garden with cicadas creating the dramatic soundtrack. The house itself is incredibly spacious-- two floors, two kitchens, enough space for large groups to cook and eat meals together. There are plenty of little areas to settle in and read a good book or enjoy an ouzo overlooking the Sea. And the pool is great-- bigger than it looks in the picture, and a good depth for cooling off and for children still learning to swim(it's about 4 foot deep). The grounds were well maintained by the groundskeeper, Petros who cleaned the pool regularly. The house was cleaned thoroughly every week. The owners were super quick to respond to messages and once when the A/C malfunctioned they sent over someone that fixed it within an hour. They were even able to arrange a shiatsu massage at the house for us. The surrounding area was great- 10 minute walk to the beach with many Tavernas and bars to choose from. Low key tourism, friendly people, really unspoiled. Local outings recommended are the Sunken City and The Ancient Theatre. There is a friendly small grocery store a 5 minute walk away (with great local produce) and a larger supermarket that just opened a 5 minute drive away. I cant recommend this special place more highly! We will be coming back.

The property accommodated my family of 12 well. The grandchildren were able to enoy the beach, and it was also well situated for day trips to historical sites.

Découverte du Péloponnèse dans une maison de charme !

Nous avons passé un séjour excellent dans cette maison de bord de mer proche d’Epidaure. La maison est charmante et bien adaptée pour 2 familles, très proche de la plage. La piscine était particulièrement appréciable en cette période de canicule. La localisation permet de rayonner et de découvrir quelques beaux sites touristiques. Les propriétaires sont eux aussi charmants et très attentifs et réactifs à toute question de leurs hôtes. Notre arrivée a été également très bien organisée avec beaucoup d’informations disponibles sur la maison, l’organisation pratique mais aussi les visites à faire dans la région. Nous recommandons vivement cette location et nous y retournerons avec beaucoup de plaisir ! Merci encore à Elpida et Chris de leur accueil chaleureux et de nous avoir fait découvrir le Péloponnèse.

prachtig ruim huis in Epidauros

Het is een mooi en ruim huis zeer geschikt voor twee (elkaar kennende) gezinnen gezien de indeling in twee appartementen met elk een keuken en zitkamer . De ligging is prima , op wandelafstand van de zee en strand. Het zwembad is prima, zeker voor kinderen. Er zijn grote terassen en een buitenBBQ, de tuin is een boomgaard rondom. Er zijn 5 dubbele kamers en één kleinere, eventueel voor twee kleinere kinderen. Het is ongeveer 2 uur rijden naar Athene. Wij bezochten Athene , Epidauros en Mykene - alle méér dan de moeite waard! Het is ook fijn om uit te gaan eten buiten aan de zee - er zijn verschillende restaurants. De eigenaar is bijzonder vriendelijk en verschaft prima informatie!

Large and comfortable family villa

We loved our stay at Villa Thalia. We were holidaying as 3 families and there is more than enough space to accommodate everyone without being on top of one another. The house is comfortable, safe and traditional. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful, answering any of our queries very quickly and the couple who look after the house were also great. We loved the pool area, set amongst the orange trees, including having pool towels available for our use. Our only comment would be maybe a few more deckchairs or sun beds for relaxing as it’s so nice to spend time there. The local area was busier than we expected with probably 4 or 5 restaurants in walking distance. The local beach was also good for lazier days when we didn’t want to drive. We had lots of options for days out and enjoyed exploring the attractions and beaches a bit further afield. All in all, a fantastic holiday in a beautiful home - we loved it!

Authentic

8 adults, 4 children age 11 to 11 months staying for two weeks: the villa is spacious, ( two separated appartments) feels like your own home and the caretaker of Petras and his wife Elvira were very much appreciated.: taking care of the sparkling pool, cleaning the house once a week, watering the garden and delivering fresh oranges! The owner Chris Skindilias responded to any question or problem immediately, even late at night. we encountered an AC problem in the lower sitting room because a gecko had entered the electronic panel and shortened it, destroying one part. Instead, Chris had a new AC installed in the lower Master bedroom so the baby and parents had bearable temperatures again. (there was a heat wave during our stay) Most striking for us Europeans and Americans was the rural setting, untouched, only Greek tourists and lovely taverns at the beach with authentic food and great service. The Greek people are used to big family gatherings and were always eager to accommodate us (11) no matter how full the place was. Also: almost every person knew some English, so we (ashamed not knowing the Greek language) could easily communicate. We toured many ancient sites, watched an ancient greek drama "Prometheus bound" at the Epidaurus Amphitheater which was outstanding. At the end of every day we plunged into the pool!
