Η φιλόξενη βίλα διακοπών σας με πισίνα, κήπους και μαγευτική θέα!

Η Villa Eleonorae έχει απίστευτη θέα και παίρνει τον ήλιο από το πρωί έως ότου ο ήλιος πέσει κάτω. Μια σπιτική και άνετη βίλα, δημιουργώντας μια ατμόσφαιρα διακοπών σε ένα υπέροχο περιβάλλον. Είναι σύγχρονο, αλλά σύμφωνα με την τοπική αρχιτεκτονική. Ονομάστηκε μετά από τα γεράκια που σκαρφαλώνουν πάνω από την ανυψωμένη θέση του πάνω από το παρθένο χωριό της Γλώσσας (μόλις 10 λεπτά με τα καταστήματα και τις ταβέρνες). Η απομονωμένη του τοποθεσία είναι ιδανική, παρά την εγγύτητά της με τις παραλίες, το λιμάνι, την εκκλησία Mamma Mia και το ίδιο το χωριό και η βίλα δεν παραβλέπεται από τίποτα. Η πανοραμική θέα έχει στα νησιά της Εύβοιας, της Σκιάθου και του Πηλίου και μακριά από την ηπειρωτική χώρα, μέχρι το Παρνασσό και πιο κοντά στο χωριό της Γλώσσας και το λιμάνι του Λουτρακίου. Η ίδια η βίλα είναι χτισμένη με το χέρι στο παραδοσιακό στυλ του νησιού, με οροφές από ξύλο καστανιάς και πεύκου, ξύλινα μπαλκόνια και κεραμοσκεπές, που συμπληρώνονται από μια σύγχρονη καθαρή αφή και σύγχρονα εξαρτήματα και εξοπλισμό. Είναι μια πραγματικά αξέχαστη εμπειρία.

Υπνοδωμάτια:
Το κυρίως υπνοδωμάτιο διαθέτει διπλό κρεβάτι super king size και ιδιωτικό μπάνιο. Η θέα από τις διπλές πόρτες βλέπει στον κήπο και πέρα από το Αιγαίο. Η βεράντα έξω οδηγεί στον κήπο και υπάρχουν καθίσματα και τραπέζι που προσφέρει ένα άλλο μέρος για να χαλαρώσετε. Αυτό το φωτεινό και ευάερο δωμάτιο είναι διακοσμημένο με πίνακες ζωγραφικής και έχει ξύλινη οροφή με βαμμένη επιφάνεια. Μια διπλή πόρτα οδηγεί στο δεύτερο υπνοδωμάτιο που έχει δύο μονά κρεβάτια που μπορούν να γειτονεύσουν για να κάνουν ένα super king size κρεβάτι. Είναι πολύχρωμο, φωτεινό και ευάερο και έχει επίσης βαμμένη οροφή. Ο εξοπλισμός περιλαμβάνει ηλεκτρική κουζίνα, φούρνο μικροκυμάτων, φρυγανιέρα, βραστήρα, πλυντήριο πιάτων, ψυγείο / καταψύκτη, επιφάνειες εργασίας από σκληρό ξύλο, διπλό νιπτήρα και σκεύη καλής ποιότητας.

Βοηθητικό δωμάτιο:
Βρίσκονται στον κάτω όροφο και στο σπίτι για το σύστημα θέρμανσης, υδρομασάζ και πλυντήρια LG, καταψύκτες, ψυγεία, σιδερώστρα, ράφι ξήρανσης και καμπίνα πρώτων βοηθειών.

ΣΑΛΟΝΙ:
Το σαλόνι βρίσκεται στον 1ο όροφο και ανοίγει μέχρι το εκτεταμένο μπαλκόνι. Ανοιχτό, με ελκυστική ανοιχτή ξύλινη οροφή, είναι καλά εξοπλισμένο με τζάκι, wifi, DVD / στερεοφωνικό σύστημα, ipod dock. Άνετα έπιπλα και χαλιά. Ανοίγει στη βεράντα στο μπροστινό μέρος του σπιτιού και στην αυλή πίσω.

Το σπίτι έχει σχεδιαστεί ειδικά για να προσφέρει στους επισκέπτες το μέγιστο όφελος της υπαίθριας ζωής. Η βεράντα από σκληρό ξύλο τρέχει κατά μήκος των δύο πλευρών της βίλας και βλέπει νότια δυτικά. Η μπροστινή βεράντα έχει μήκος 3 μ. Πλάτους x 9 μ. Και προσφέρει ιδανικό χώρο για να διασκεδάσει και να δειπνήσει το αλφρεσκό ενώ απολαμβάνει την εκπληκτική θέα στο λιμάνι του Λουτρακίου και τον κόλπο. Η περιοχή μπάρμπεκιου διαθέτει ψυγείο, νεροχύτη και ένα μεγάλο, φιλικό προς το χρήστη μπάρμπεκιου που διαθέτει επίσης ηλεκτρική ψησταριά. Έτσι, είτε μερικές σαρδέλες ή μια ολόκληρη κατσίκα και τρία κοτόπουλα στο μενού αυτό θα τα παραδώσει!
Η αυλή στο πίσω μέρος της βίλας βρίσκεται δίπλα στο μπάρμπεκιου. Αυτή είναι η κύρια είσοδος της βίλας από το χώρο στάθμευσης αυτοκινήτων. Wonderful house with spectacular view

We had a wonderful spring vacation in Glossa, in Shane's villa. The island of Skopelos is beautiful, the house is charming and very comfortable with a view of the sea, trees and islands that we never tire of. We particularly appreciated the swimming pool and outdoor facilities. Thanks to Shane's invaluable advice and attention to detail, we had a wonderful stay.

Stunningly beautiful villa with panoramic views

We or should I say YOU are so lucky to have stumbled across this beautiful villa. What Shane has created is a remarkable rustic/ modern interior and exterior villa with every amenity - you will want for nothing. Being so close to Glossa is convenient for shopping at the friendly supermarket and the bread and cakes at the local bakery are wonderful. Walking through the village you feel so welcome as the locals greet you "Kalimera" The villa which overlooks Skiathos has the most amazing sunsets just breathtaking, I can't tell you how many photographs we have taken of the stunning views. Shane and Stefanie are the most hospitable hosts, thanks to them both for looking after us, the supplies of wine, water and bread were very much appreciated for when we arrived and we certainly made the most of the vegetables from the garden throughout the week. I cannot express enough to anyone reading this review you will not be disappointed with either Skopleos (our 2nd visit to the island) or to Villa Eleanore. Back again to the most magical place!

This is our second trip to Villa Eleanore, after a wonderful stay 4 years ago. And it's better than ever! The location is magical - up a steep and bumpy track to the top of the hill, enabling unparalleled views over the neighbouring islands, and the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see. The villa itself is simple and small but perfectly formed, with a covered verandah allowing ample space to while away sleepy hours in a hammock, do some sea-view yoga, or watch the sunset with a glass of wine and a game of backgammon. There's a fabulous outdoor kitchen with a shady eating area. The pool is perfect and the terrace is a sun trap all afternoon and into the evening. Below the house the garden stretches down the hill, peppered with fruit trees and herbs. Plenty of fresh figs to pick for breakfast with local honey and Greek yoghurt. Behind the house you can walk along a track through the pine covered hills. Glossa is a short drive (or a hot, steep walk!) away. The people in the tiny local supermarket and the few other shops and restaurants in the town are friendly and generous. We felt incredibly welcome. A truly special place that we'll remember forever.

Wonderful stay

We couldn't have asked for more from the villa. The views are even better than the photos - unbelievable sunsets day after day. The villa is very private, but only a 5 minute drive from Glossa town (or 30 minute walk) and close to lovely beaches. The pool was immaculate and the whole place is surrounded by greenery. The house is very comfortable and well equipped inside and out - great bed and shower! Lots of outside seating areas and a fantastic barbecue. Shane has created a very special place and we felt lucky to spend a week there. Only wish it could have been longer!

Villa with a View

This is a stunning property with views to die for. It is in such a peaceful location and the villa itself has been beautifully designed and put together by the owner. It is called Eleonora after the Eleonara falcons which we observed throughout our two week stay, it was a wonderful experience to watch the buzzards and falcons from the swimming pool or outside shower. The pool is great too - we're coming back!!!

Just fabulous

Villa Eleanorae is as spectacular as the photos suggest. Perched on a hill overlooking Skiathos and the wider Aegean, the views change with the passage of the sun, until sunset when the islands become hazy and the sun dips behind the mountains of the mainland. It is breathtaking every night. And the villa’s pretty top notch too - beautiful, very clean pool, great sun loungers, fab outdoor shower with a window to the view, lovely balcony for lunch and dinner, and great bedrooms and bathrooms all with the view. And we got to share our holiday with the cutest family of cats - mum, dad and one kitten - who were always hanging around looking cute and seeing if there were any treats going. For all this you have to be ready to drive up a very steep hill, so take Shane’s advice and hire a Suzuki Jimny 4x4, but if you like walking there are some lovely trails over and around the hill, all with great views to both sides of the island. Both Eleni and Shane were great too, and the owners of the supermarket athanasiou in the village were also fab, so friendly and have everything you need. All in all a brilliant choice for a quiet, relaxing week in beautiful Skopelos.

Wonderful!

I think everything has already been said about the amazing views, the well appointed and comfortable villa, the friendly people, the cats, the local restaurants etc........ We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and we hope to return one day - this has also already been said! Shane was extremely helpful with all aspects of our holiday and this was much appreciated. Many thanks for a very memorable holiday!

Expectation vs Reality

Believe everything about views and location. Perfect and breathtaking. Do not believe the pictures of the property itself. Maybe once. Not now. The 12 feral cats had enjoyed the off white chair cushions to the point that we didn't enjoy them. No pictures of the stairs to the bedrooms and baths. They are very steep and very narrow. Bathrooms are most adequate. Mold and mildew in the shower less offensive in smaller bath. Outdoor kitchen almost as pictured. Reality includes a bucket and mops and a couple of moldy brushes. Pool is as depicted. Wonderful. We visited late in the season. Gardens and pots in need of attention. Jasmine still blooming and welcoming. Orange tree laden with fruit. Lots of lavender. Cyclamen running wild. Town of Glossa deserves mention. Grocer, butcher and baker all closeby and eager to welcome you. Upper town like a little Santorini. Never saw a selfie stick. The port of Loutraki is an easy drive. Best restaurant if Flisvos. Right at the water's edge. We toured various parts of the island each day. Beautiful. Off the main road a bit challenging but part of the adventure. Never had a bad lunch. House wine doable everywhere. Bottom line is we were disappointed with the house because it wasn't what we had been anticipating. Had we not been set up for a 5+ star experience we would not be so critical. It's Greece. Relax your standards and soak up the ambience. Just feel a bit taken advantage of. Shane was responsive to our issues. Mostly they were not resolved but became less important as time moved on. It is a jewel of a place. Deserves better care. We would not revisit nor would we recommend it to friends.

Exceptional customer care, fabulous view..

The villa is very well designed and appointed and comfortable with everything one could want. It's in an exceptional quiet location with a fabulous view. We had a minor water pressure problem which was quickly resolved via a couple of e mails to Shane including a Saturday call by the plumber. Unfortunately on the last day of our holiday my wife became ill and had to have an emergency medical evacuation by boat in the middle of the night to Volos on the mainland. Our half packed luggage, unpacked gifts and passports were left behind. Absolutely everything we had left was thoughtfully and carefully packed and put into store and then delivered to me at the port at Loutraki when I travelled back to collect them some days later ; and if necessary would have been sent to the mainland. Shane and Anthouli (the villa manager) kept in touch throughout and we owe them and the cleaners who packed up an enormous "Thank you" Customer care was absolutely exceptional.

A cosy villa with an amazing view

Villa Eleonora is a lovely comfortable house, fully equipped and well designed with a great pool and most of them a balcony where you can see amazing sunsets on the Agean Sea. The garden is beautiful too, full of fruits and herbs bushes. Shane gives particular attention to his house, and the staff, Eleni and Anthoula, is warm and caring. One of our favorite place to stay. We will come back!

A little slice of heaven on earth

With so many positive write ups from previous visitors, the pressure was on. Villa Eleonorae did not disappoint. The view is utterly breath taking. The way the colours, depth and visibility alter with time of day and weather make it an amazing and constantly changing backdrop for your holiday. The villa has many places from which to take in its glory. The beds are quite firm but comfortable and the bedding is soft and lovely. The cot worked perfectly for our 20-month-old. The villa has everything you’d want. Anthoula and her sister were helpful, thoughtful and efficient. Poolside was stunning, the pool clean and crystal clear. There are lots of pool toys to play with (fins, goggles, body boards, flumps etc). Glossa is a lovely town once you find it ... if you are expecting to be able to drive through you will miss it as we did on the first night. Park by the well stocked and friendly supermarket, walk past the amazing bakery and take a right turn at the taxi rank into the pedestrianised centre of town. We ate at Agnanti, which was quite smart and had great modern Greek cuisine (and the best retsina!), but the place we went back to was Louki, the kebab place in the middle of town. Sit outside, watch the world go by and eat something more traditional and delicious. Giannis from MagicCars was wonderful and informative, and gave us some more recommendations, including a beach taverna called Korali in Agnontas, where our ferry was unexpectedly diverted to on arrival. We had two days of stormy weather - proper thunder and lightning which we watched move along the channel between Skopelos and Skiathos from the balcony. The bad weather gave us the opportunity to tour around the island - it’s worth taking a drive across the middle of the island to see the amazing landscape. Signposting is a bit of an issue here and there, so you need to pay attention, but the views are wonderful and not at all what you might expect from a Greek island. When planning your trip make sure to book your ferry tickets well in advance. We didn’t and ended up on a very early return ferry which made our last day very long. Also check the ferry times will work with your flights. Ferry’s seem to run mostly in the early morning and then from mid afternoon, which doesn’t necessarily fit with tourist flight times. We were sorry to leave our bit of paradise. Make sure to take time to lie in the hammock on the balcony and soak up the view!

We love everything in Villa Eleonorae !

We had a wonderful time in Villa Eleonorae. The villa is fully fitted, cleaned and well maintained with a lovely balcony, a pool and a beautiful garden too (lots of fruits and herbs bushes). The villa is designed with respect of the Greek style but modern. And with particular attentions : a bottle of greek wine, Sporades soaps ... The view is amazing for sunsets (of course) but also in the morning : taking your breakfast with a large view on the sea with Skiathos island and the Pelion in the background is just amazing. We do not get tired ! The villa is closed to Glossa and beaches, so it is not difficult to move around. We will come back, for sure !

Wonderful pool, stunning views & peaceful location

We had a wonderful week in Villa Eleonorae. The pool was fantastic, the villa very comfortable and well equipped, but the views... I'm still dreaming about those views. They do not disappoint. We spent many a happy hour reading in the shade of the veranda watching the boats come and go and soaking up the view. The pool was almost in constant use and was kept lovely and clean. It was only a 5 minute drive down to the very pretty town of Glossa with it's supermarket and restaurants, and yet the villa itself was incredibly peaceful. It was also a very good spot to explore the northern end of the island. There were a couple of kittens and adult cats at the villa when we arrived. I wouldn't say that any of us were huge fans of cats, but once we started feeding them (as requested in the visitors' book!), they settled in well and were part of the family by the end of the week. We have been converted! A huge thank you to Anthoula for her warm and friendly welcome. We arrived quite late and yet she met us at Glossa port to take us to the villa because our hire car wasn't delivered until the Saturday morning. Furthermore she stopped on the way so we could get some much needed provisions. She got back to us really quickly about any queries we had during the week too, so thank you so much Anthoula for making our stay even better! I would definitely recommend Villa Eleonoae to a friend or relative.

Pure bliss!

Probably our most enjoyable stay ever in a holiday house anywhere. Really deserves six stars! The house is beautifully designed, everything of the highest quality, nothing forgotten and with many attractive personal touches. As commented upon by other reviewers, the view from its elevated position is fantastic. It is very much on its own on the hillside with beautiful surroundings. No sound apart from cicadas, birds and crickets at night. It is a naturist's dream - two kestrels nesting in a pine 100 yards from the house, beautiful Eleanora's falcons (one evening I saw seven together in the sky above and around the house), buzzards, swifts, swallows and many others. One day driving through the forest nearby a large pine marten crossed the track right in front of us in broad daylight. The next day, driving home from an evening in Loutraki, coming up the track we saw another male pine marten and 50 yards further on two more sets of reflected eyes - mother and baby! We have been to Skopelos many times before and it is the most beautiful wooded island. Glossa( 5 minutes) is a very traditional village, little developed but with most essentials and the friendliest people anywhere. Loutraki its port (15 minutes by a very twisty roads) has a laid back charm and some good tavernas. There are pebble beaches galore within easy range of the house. I would comment about the age of guests. On the face of it the villa seems to be ideal for families with young children - which it is absolutely. We, however are quite elderly and we found it absolutely perfect for us. In the past we have swum from most of the beaches on the island, but this time we spent much of our time on the verandah or by the superb pool with a view. When we got too hot we simply rolled into the pool! All in all this has been one of the most enjoyable and relaxing holidays we have ever had. We will definitely come back again next year if we can.

Villa Eleonorae ist traumhafter Rückzugsort! Mit Begeisterung gestaltet, sehr komfortabel !

Für uns passt dieser Ort perfekt! Ruhe, Abgeschiedenheit ( deswegen ist es auch gut, wie holperig der Weg zum Haus ist), man sitzt selber wie in einem Falkennest! An einem Tag habe ich stundenlang 8 Falken beobachtet! Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen, Eleni, die sich um das Haus gekümmert hat, ist sehr liebenswürdig und spricht hervorragend englisch ( viel besser als wir, die wir keine Muttersprachler sind). Wir waren jetzt zum dritten Mal dort, ich glaube, es war nicht das letzte mal!

Great house, beautiful views, extremely relaxing!

We stayed for a week in Shane's house and everything was perfect. The pool, the views, the terrace outside (perfect to watch the sun go down in the evening), the bbq area, the fresh tomatoes from the garden, we enjoyed every bit of it. We will definitely try to come back!

amazing view

I am from Ireland and have been coming to Skopelos since 2004. I have always enjoyed traveling and when I came to Skopelos in 2004 I liked it so much that when the opportunity came to build a villa here I seized it.

The land on which Villa Eleonora is built is in a private location, off a road that meanders into the interior of the island which is mainly forested. There are no buildings beside the property or within sight in the immediate area. to The left of the property and at the front it is designated forestry and on the right and behind families farm vines and fruit trees. Its a peaceful, private and tranquil place that I am always eager to return too.

The villa was completed in 2008 and I have been letting the property since 2010.

I enjoy the Greek Island lifestyle, the people and the beauty that Skopelos gives to everyone. The villa enjoys literally breathtaking unspoilt views, of forest, sea, islands and the mainland beyond. It is never the same for any two days and a joy to watch from the hammock on the veranda. New guests sometimes take a moment to catch their breath having seen the view for the first time from the veranda. It nice to know that you can look out on the same view from both of the bedrooms when you wake up!

For walking or mountain biking it is perfect as there are tracks leading in different directions through the forest to both sides of the island whether it is to Agios Iaonnis the ‘Mamma Mia' church or to the other side of the island for the true adventurers. The village of Glossa is also very close by with various amenities including super markets and restaurants and ease of access to beaches nearby.

Locally there is Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) company, which offers a fun and relaxing way to play in the water. Standing upright on a SUP board allows you to enjoy the beautiful island scenery as well as a spectacular view down through the clear blue Aegean Sea. Gliding over gentle waves, watching the fish swim beneath your feet, can truly provide the sensation of walking on water. Skopelos stand up paddle boarding offer coaching sessions and tours.

There is also a dive company on the island from Panormos. This is run in a very professional and friendly manner. I highly recommend both of these activities and guests who have tried thes activities have loved their expieriences.
