Notes
- With so much land, and the surrounding acreage owned by the state as protected water shed, our property is a lovely place to just start hiking. We have a cozy hammock up our hill to chill and relish being out of the city! Just across the way is a path that leads to the trails for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and swimming in the lake at Wilson State Park. This is a year round paradise! In summer enjoy water tubing or fly fishing on the Esopus, canoeing and kayaking on the Hudson River, horseback riding, rock climbing, tennis, golf and biking around a beautiful reservoir. Visit the largest traditional Tibetan Monastery in the US, climb the beautiful Overlook Mountain or take a dip in one of the numerous water holes in the area. The fall is absolutely gorgeous, and the Woodstock Film Festival always attracts a crowd. This is also a great time to enjoy apple picking, pumpkin carving and the wonderful foliage of the Catskills Mountains. and ski nearby!

We love to fix up homes and bring back the beautty! I have years of experience in my work as an interior designer. I have a dog, Betty, she loves the country! We fenced in and gated much of the area around the house just for her. Woodstock is such a great community, we love it there.

Why janna taninbaum chose Woodstock
Woodstock is what I call an island in the country. Its full of city people that have come to the country, and with them they have brought the arts, music and nature appreciation. this is a non judgemental community, its wonderful. I also call it a commune but we all have our own homes to go to. we meet up in the restaurants like its one big dinner party, or at the bearsville theater or on the hike to overlook. we gather together to help each other when in need, to raise funds when one is in trouble due to a house burning down, or when one does not have the insurance coverage for their illness. you feel the goodness instantly. the house is the last of the artist style homes along this road from woodstock. I loved the 12' floor to ceiling stone fireplace, and the 11 foot window in the main room, and that i what drew me to this diamond in the rough. i knew that i could make this shine. Also, the location is such the you feel like your way out in the country, but only less than 10 min to the village by car. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/03/12/when-twenty-six-thousand-stinkbugs-invade-your-home?source=search_google_dsa_paid&gclid=CjwKCAiAz4b_BRBbEiwA5XlVVhygd3l3GDi7BgAfuDWy_GRVpc9e4erC0gn9yZKYWnYIvQv0PxSADxoC5zYQAvD_BwE However, many Americans are not aware that numerous ladybug species are considered invasive pests within the US. One of the most significant pest species belonging to the ladybug family is known as the Asian lady beetle. These beetles first appeared in New York state in 1994, but other sources claim that the insects were found in the country a decade prior to this. Since their introduction into New York state, these insects have been increasing their presence within and around homes. Although these insects do not bite or spread disease, they can invade homes by the hundreds or more, causing annoyance to homeowners. https://patch.com/new-york/larchmont/poll-stinkbug-invasion-hits-region-have-you-seen-them

The term “ladybug” is often used to refer to all the small beetle species that belong to the Coccinellidae family of insects. Spotting these insects in the wild is often exciting for people, and ladybugs are commonly treated with some degree of affection and/or reverence in the United States. However, many Americans are not aware that numerous ladybug species are considered invasive pests within the US. Luckily, researchers have determined when Asian lady beetles will become numerous enough in the wild to pose a pest problem in homes. https://patch.com/new-york/larchmont/poll-stinkbug-invasion-hits-region-have-you-seen-them read about the ladybugs and stinkbugs please.
