Notes
- Caleb's Outlook sits by Blue Ridge Parkway National Park. It's also right next to Pisgah National Forest. You are a short drive from downtown Blowing Rock, and an even shorter drive from the BlueRidge Parkway. You will find good fishing in several places within a 15 minute drive. There's so much to do in the area: waterfalls, picnic areas, shopping, museums, panning for gems and so much more. If you are the reclining type just go into town and get a delicious bag of candy or a decadent sundae, and come back and relax. If you like fancy restaurants then Blowing Rock has that too. Boone, 20 minutes away, has all sorts of chain restaurants and other eateries. Linville Falls is about a half hour south of Caleb's. The Linville Falls hike is a short and memorable outing. So much to enjoy.

Ask a questionAbout Tony
We are both educators working from home. We live part of our time on the western part of the state but still go back to spend time close to the coast of NC, close to our family. Caleb, our son, is now fifteen years old. We were fortunate enough to adopt him from China thirteen years ago. God has blessed us in many ways- in finding one another and in having such a loving family.
Tony purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Tony chose Caldwell County
Being in Misty Mountain is like being at home, but better. No matter what part of the North Carolina Mountains we visit from time to time we always end up back at Misty Mountain. This cottage is located in such an ideal setting. Very few cars coming and going next door, no barking dogs to wake you and the only stoplights are in town. Yet, it's close enough to the nearest restaurant, store, or any other sign of civilization you're looking for. It is just a great place to let your nerves settle. Take a cup of coffee out back and unwind. Or if you prefer you could enjoy a bottle of wine with a few crackers and cheese. You are away from it all in a nice quiet neighborhood. Neighbors in Misty Mountain are quietly doing their own thing. The foliage gives you barriers for more tranquility It cost little more than a hotel room but offers so much more. We will do everything we can to help take care of your needs while you stay at Caleb's Outlook.
What makes this Cottage unique
The location is really quite ideal. Blowing Rock is touristy without being overdone. They have very nice restaurants, candy stores (including the famous Kilwins), specialty shops, and so much more. From the front, back or sides of Caleb's you see nothing but great scenery and nice houses sitting in yards left with Mother Nature's handiwork. Misty Mountain neighborhood is full of upscale houses that has been a favorite vacation spot for many years. It is a neighborhood where you will feel safe. The paved lanes are curvy and steep but in A1 shape as the local crews keep them free from leaves or snow, whichever the case may be. Holly Lane is an easy road for travel with a slow incline that you will appreciate especially during the winter months. You can sit in the living room during the winter months and watch the snow just as if you sitting outside in the snow due to the glass doors and long windows. We have made every attempt to put window treatments that will protect you from the sun in the summer months. There are so many comforts to make your stay a good one.
