For work or leisure, I had the opportunity to travel a lot and visit beautiful and suggestive locations. In the end I chose the sea and the charm of my Salento as a preferred destination for summer holidays for me and my family. I am convinced that the most precious things in life are the people you love, the places you visit and the memories you create. If you want to know more about me, you can find me on the professional LinkedIn site: www[.]linkedin[.]com/in/cdeltufo My guests’ peace of mind and total satisfaction is my ultimate goal and top priority. Before booking I encourage you to ask any question that may help you make a confident and informed decision. During your stay, you can always reach me directly via cell, SMS or whatsapp for anything you may need (I speak fluent English).

Why Claudio chose Posto Rosso
To share with others the sea, the nature, the art and the flavors of Salento. This area is part of the Alliste marina and is locally known as "Red Place" or "Stella Marina" or even "Cisternella". Alliste and Felline, the nearest villages, are about 3 km inland. Here, during the summer months, you will find numerous fairs and festivals dedicated to local products and traditions. The months of July and August are particularly rich in events, including: the "potato festival", the "feast of the meatball" and the "meat feast", just to name a few. These are itinerant country feasts where it is possible to wander through markets displaying typical products of the area, listen to musical performances by local folk groups and dance to the popular rhythms of Salento ("pizzica" and "taranta"). The festivals are popular events that bring together a lot of locals and tourists marrying good food with fun and culture. Besides the festivals, there are also many typical restaurants such as "Il Posto Divino" or "Antico Monastero" which are located right in the picturesque setting of the Piazzetta di Felline and during the summer prepare the tables outside making the experience even more enchanting from the surrounding atmosphere. "Il Mulino di Alcantara", a classic and elegant destination, has the perfect touch for a romantic dinner.
What makes this Villa unique
The location, the comfort, the historical roots of the structure, the large portico, the wide outdoor spaces and huge private parking space. The building is very particular in every constructive aspect. With its typical architectural elements of the Mediterranean style of the early 1800s, including the vaulted ceiling and the perimeter walls in stone of more than one meter thick (to support the thrust of the vaults), it goes back to the typical Salento "casa padronale" (occupied by the owner of the large estate, as opposed to the "casa colonica" in which the sharecropping family lived). For many years, this villa was the only building in the area, large enough to be visible from boats in transit. Its position is recorded as a geographical reference point in the official nautical maps of the Italian Navy. The name "Red Place" of the entire marina takes its name from this villa because its original color was a light red, derived from the local soil rich in iron oxides (see photo), in contrast to the white-lime of the typical house Salento.
