I fell in love with La Grivette - at the time only an abandoned farm house - during a long weekend visiting friends who lived in the area. It was a real 'coup de coeur' from the minute I saw the front courtyard, overgrown with abandoned roses, until we opened the back window that perfectly frames the Roman church off in the village. That was it - I had to own it. Little did I imagine the 8 years it would take to renovate... but that makes for interesting stories and we had great vacations with family, friends and anyone else I could convince to come camp and work on the property.
