Modern Studio in the Heart of Downtown Anchorage

We live in Eagle River, just about 13 miles from Anchorage. We love to travel, and when we do, we prefer to stay in a place that has a kitchen, because we prefer to make our own breakfast, and enjoy an entire pot of coffee before we leave to go enjoy the daily activities of vacation. We bought this unit so that we, ourselves, could enjoy the city. We have had a great time finding furnishings, and artwork to make this unit feel cozy. We are still looking for fun items to decorate the place, so if you see changes in the pictures, you will know we just found something new that we liked better. We are new at this, but we have tried to stock the place with all needed items. If we missed something, we hope our guests will let us know, so we can do better. We hope our guests will enjoy staying here, as much as we do.

Why Carrie Sandvik chose Downtown Anchorage

Why this property? Well, we just love this old historical building. We adore the residents who occupy this place, and the pride that the owners take in this charming old place. We love everything about downtown Anchorage and enjoy our own weekends going out to downtown events. We love being walking distance to everything, unless I am wearing heels or it is really cold. In that case, we call a taxi to take us the short distances we are going. There is usually a taxi directly across the street at the Hilton Hotel, and they are more than happy to drive just a few blocks.

What makes this Apartment unique

There is a tour planning business in the building, on the street level and they keep very late hours. We have not visited the shop, but we walk past it often, and it is open late. There is a gift shop in the Hilton Hotel, selling small necessities and personal hygiene supplies, snacks and soft drinks. It is quite convenient being so close.
