About Celia Jenkins
We have to pinch ourselves on a regular basis: we live just above the beach in our garden flat in Devon for two thirds of the year and have our Spring and Autumn in Kephalonia. We bought The Walnut Tree as an abandoned building site on a holiday whim. Our friends thought we were crazy - until they visit us. Now they think we are lucky - as we do. We love Kephalonia and all that goes with it. MESSAGE TO FUTURE GUESTS. Please be assured that I will always be available for contact by telephone if required. Send me a message via VRBO or after booking renters have access to my email and phone number. The one thing all renters expect when renting holiday accommodation is peace of mind about the booking of their chosen holiday villa. I plan to provide this to the best of my ability.
Celia Jenkins purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Celia Jenkins chose Kefalonia
We had the idea of buying a plot of land before we both retired so that we could build a house, and more particularly, make a Mediterranean garden in a leisurely manner with loads of time at our disposal. When we saw the location of The Walnut Tree it all seemed to fit. It was near enough to civilization to be convenient and removed enough to be peaceful. The mountain views were spectacular, we could see the Bay of Sami, the island of Ithaca and the surrounding countryside with just a few neighbours.
What makes this Villa unique
Our main delights at The Walnut Tree are the garden, the views, the wonderful skies (dawn and dusk are particularly spectacular), the sounds of the Greek countryside (birds, sheep, goats, donkeys, cows, distant church bells .... or nothing) and planning future projects for both the house and garden. Of course, when we are sharing the house with our family and friends, it all becomes even more worth while. It seems that from the comments and reviews of all our guests, our delights are theirs too.
