Ride hard, Rest Easy, Sleep Well

Pet friendly, updated 3 bedroom and 1.5 bathroom cottage in the heart of Mount Beauty. Next to the golf course and a short walk to the lake or the main street for shopping. A large deck overlooking the garden and town perfect for entertaining and eating out doors. Cottage garden has private and shady areas with out door seating to share a quiet drink. Cottage is a 40 minute drive to Falls Creek Resort. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking at home, with full sized dishwasher, fridge and oven. Laundry contains washing machine and dryer. Split System heating and cooling. Living area contains large couches and library with large wall TV. Free WiFi. Bathroom with shower over a deep bath. Linen is provided. Small to medium well trained dogs are most welcome. Beds are chiropractic approved with medium feel and pillow top.

Winter Escape

Mount Beauty is the closest off mountain accommodation to Falls Creek. With a vibrant town there is plenty to do even for non skiers. You will find the house conveniently located 30km from Falls Creek Resort, just at the base of the mountain and very close to the centre of town. The shops are walking distance, so too is the lake, golf course and bike tracks. There are a number of restaurants in town catering to all tastes from fine dining to pub food and take away. The house has a library if your perfect holiday includes reading a book, there is also a newsagent in town. The house is heated via a split system in the main living area and heaters in the bedrooms and electric blankets, there are also ceiling fans to distribute heat throughout the house.

Warmer Months

Mount Beauty is a hive of activity in summer, you can fish or ski at the lake in town. There is also the river with so many beautiful spots to swim fish and picnic (don't forget the lilo if you have one). Mount Beauty is known for both road bike riding and mountain bike riders. There are so many days trip options you will wish you have stayed longer, wineries, bush walking tracks, restaurants, gift shops. Do not forget the golf course, show up on Saturday or Wednesday for a competition with the locals, or play casually. Gardens, cafes, wineries, brewery, canoeing choice is yours. The house has a lovely garden you will always find a shady spot to sit on a hot day.

Enjoyed our stay, the house is well set out, well presented, beds are comfortable. Tv, internet and even a small library of books select from and read. All utilities you need to cook 'in house' are provided. Well suited to families or groups up to six, looking for a comfortable place to stay. I intend to stay there again next time I travel to Mount Beauty.

Wonderful property with a nice deck and so close to the lake and shops. So happy we could bring our Labrador too, but would have liked the front gate to be more secure and higher, otherwise it was a perfect stay.

We loved staying at Mt Beauty garden cottage and exploring the area. Highly recommend - house was welcoming and perfect for our family. I especially loved the sun drenched reading nook, and kids loved the easy access to the golf course, skate park and pump track. Thank you for having us.

Great pet friendly accommodation close to everything we needed. Only criticism is the shower. You have to climb into a bath & at almost 70 it was difficult to get into. My friend couldn’t get in she was too short to get her leg in . Mt Beauty is a beautiful place for a quick getaway

Have loved the alpine area around Mount Beauty since child hood when we would travel from country NSW to Ovens to visit friends. Mount Beauty is the place I will settle in retirement. Currently work in Falls Creek and Melbourne.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property, because of the garden with mature trees. The cottage is one of the original kit cottages imported from England during the building of the town and the hydro electric scheme.

What makes this property unique

Views to the mountains from the day bed. Large deck with BBQ for entertaining. Quiet central location walking distance to golf course, pond, shops, restaurants and bar. Private shaded garden area for reading and sitting. Clean, unpretentious cottage designed for the comfort and relaxation of humans and small to medium sized dogs.
