About Linda Stanley
John and Linda, apart from being chestnut farmers, work with farmers around the world, teaching them how to market their produce direct to consumers. They have written a number of books, both individually and together. They enjoy and believe in healthy living, cooking from scratch, keeping active, enjoying each moment, travel, meditation and the company of family and friends. They enjoy having guests in the farmstay as it is a lovely way to share the joys of the farm.
Linda Stanley purchased this Farmhouse in 2013
Why Linda Stanley chose Carlotta
John and Linda Stanley purchased Chestnut Brae in 2013 with a view to creating healthy added value chestnut products using sustainable regenerative agriculture. We also want children to understand where their food comes from, so we converted the original farm house into a farmstay. We believe it is important to connect with nature to recharge the soul and city living deprives people of the opportunity to connect with nature. Chestnut Brae is a stunningly beautiful property, some people say it is the most beautiful farm in the south west, and is therefore an ideal place to recharge after hectic fast paced city living.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Chestnut Brae is unique in that as well as being the largest chestnut farm in Western Australia and the only Certified Organic chestnut farm in WA, it is also the only farm where chestnut fed pork is a major product. It is nestled in a lovely valley with three dams in the valley and is surrounded by rolling hills where kangaroos and emus can be viewed morning and evening as they make their way across the valley. It is a hidden, secret valley at the end of a track through the Jarrah forest. The spiritual energy of the farm soothes and calms when you take the time to simply sit and absorb the serenity.
