Thanksgiving with Family
This home on Pinon Drive was a wonderful home for bringing our family together for Thanksgiving. The kitchen area provides a wonderful gathering place with its large dining room table along with plenty of space and area to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. With its two sinks and two ovens, there was adequate prep and cleaning areas. In addition, there is another kitchen in a separate wing to use, if necessary.
The location of this home is wonderful; it is close to the Santa Fe Plaza, not far from the RailYard, and two grocery stores are within 5 minutes.
While the weather was cold and snowy, we enjoyed playing games and completing a 1000-piece puzzle. We also went to the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Meow Wolf. Both were enjoyable activities for a cold and snowy day.
Overall, our stay was wonderful and this home was a welcoming retreat after a busy day out on the town! It provided everything we needed for our stay!
Hi Michele, We're delighted your group had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Pinon Vista. Not all homes have two ovens and for a large group on a holiday wasn't it great! The snowy weather was icing on the cake while playing games I'm sure. Thanks so much for choosing Two Casitas.
A wonderful stay!!
This property has everything you could want. The outdoor patio was huge and offered beautiful views. The front of the house also had beautiful views. We were so lucky to have a full day of snow and it was even prettier with the snow. The kitchen had everything you would need. The beds were comfortable and we were grateful they were able to split the king beds into twins, as we were a group of 9 women. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. We felt the house was decorated in the Santa Fe style and appreciated the art and fixtures. Definitely would stay here again!!
Hello Mary Kay, so happy to hear your group enjoyed our Pinon Vista property... yes the heavy snow was just beautiful to see from indoors!! We thank you for choosing Two Casitas!
Clean and cozy. Easy access to Santa Fe shopping....maybe a mile. We had a group of 10 women and the layout worked for us. Great weather and awesome views! Well stocked too.
Hi Mary, so happy your group of ladies enjoyed our Pinon Vista! Many larger groups love it and the views!! Thank you for choosing Two Casitas.
Todd thank you for the 5 stars, we do hope you had a great time at Pinon Vista.... The Two Casitas Team.
We enjoyed the property but felt that it was definitely more dated and had a unimpressive outdoor space relative to the cost and the portrayal in photographs.
Thank you for the review! We don't believe that the pictures are misleading, but I am going to push the owner to consider updating interior items and addressing outdoor space as well.
Overall my group of 10 friends (2 to a room) had a great time.
The views were as amazing as advertised and we all loved the close proximity to the Plaza. Very central. Also really great parking at the house. We easily fit all 5 cars into the parking area and could have fit more.
However, the house felt dark so we opened all the blinds and left them that way the entire time. The outside large dining table was covered with dust when we arrived and we had to remove to the side of the house a couple of completely busted out lawn chairs that were non functional as well as un-slightly. The two downstairs bedrooms are very dark. The other big draw back was the lack of a sound system. For the price of this house, there should definitely be a proper sound system. Also, the house needs a good refreshing. Lots of chipped paint and wear and tear in places which made it feel neglected. Hate to be so critical but this house was expensive but didn't feel like it overall.
Thank you for the review! I'm so sorry that the home's lighting situation was not to your liking. We will discuss adding some supplementary indoor lighting and a sound system with the owner. We will also recommend some of the aesthetic upkeep that you mentioned. We have since removed those lawn chairs as well. Regarding the dusty table, we do clean it regularly, but Santa Fe is an exceptionally dusty city, so it is difficult to stay completely on top of. If a guest ever finds the home to be unclean, we can send our cleaning staff to remedy the situation. We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.
