Exactly as described
Very nice, secure building. Clean condo, exactly as described in the advertisement. Sophia and Andrew are very nice to communicate with. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in the downtown area.
This is It!
This was the MOST amazing place. It's location, design and security were MORE than promised. It is hard to put into words how much this enhanced our vacation in Victoria, BC. We would never want to stay anywhere else. We enjoyed the city so much, and could walk to everything we wanted to do. If you are planning a trip to Victoria, BC, this is it! The home was beautiful, with excellent views, excellent access to everything Victoria had to offer. We are recommending this place to our friends and colleagues because it fit so perfectly into what we were looking for. You could not ask for a better location, wow! Looking out from the balcony very night, seeing the fog roll in across the harbor is indescribable. The amenities within the unit are anything you could ever need. It was effortless to get to the British Columbia Museum, the water front, grocery stories, shopping and nightlife. I can't imagine we would every stay any where else. Although little was needed, response time from the owners was immediate. (we had a little trouble following direction on how to get in the first time- that was on us, not the owner). Not sure what else I can say, other than that we would stay there again and again, We are making sure our friends are aware- and if you are looking for the perfect place- look no further.
Thank you so much for review and I am so happy you enjoyed the condo and Victoria
Victory in Victoria
This is an excellent choice....due to its superior location… walking to everything… comfort, style, and cleanliness. We had a more than wonderful stay and would highly recommend this to friends. Hopefully one day maybe we can return.
Great stay downtown
This apartment is amazing! There is plenty of space, very comfortable, and close to everything downtown. The building itself is very secure and quiet. Parking isn’t included, but there is plenty of street parking and parking garages a block away in just about every direction. I definitely recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Victoria!
Right downtown, we could get everywhere
Tiny apartment, New Orleans “shotgun” style, but enough for us. Wouldn’t want to have 4 people, though. Pictures are the wide-lens style, so be aware that the wide open spaces aren’t. That being said, for 2 it is just fine. Clean, with a fabulous clothes dryer! Washer was fine also, but you don’t need to push the “start” button AT ALL. THE WASHER WILL AUTOMATICALLY START after about a minute (we call it the “Canadian Pause” - the elevator has the same pause to close the doors unless you hit the close-door button). Boil pot, same thing. Turn it on, find your temperature, hit “on” again - and wait for it. Slowly the temperature will begin to rise. Easy for those used to such a pot; not for this coffee/tea needing person here!
Western exposure, so the sun blasts the flat relentlessly in the summer. Thank heavens for the a/c unit! Great view over the city, though. Small balcony with 2 chairs, probably better at other months when the sun isn’t directly in your eyes for hours. We sat inside on the comfy couch with the window shades down and watched TV with our sunglasses on! Worked like a charm until the Golden Orb finally dropped below the horizon. Hey, just a summer thing!
Great shower, great kitchen, with the rarest of all things: decent kitchen knives. Sophia had extras of a lot of things, kindly furnishing toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, etc. treat her nicely and refurbish if you make a big dent, please. Bed was oh SO comfy. We loved it. You can choose from using a comforter or a cotton blanket. Lots of extra sheets and towels, too.
READ THE BINDER OF INFO SHE LEFT. It tells you about security (leave without your electronic access card and you are in trouble), garbage and recycling (need your card), elevator (need your card). Then, when you leave, LEAVE YOUR CARD. Don’t take it with you like the previous renters had.
Restaurants everywhere, with Fol Epi next door for great breads and great food, for when you are really lazy. Good grocery store and drugstore about 3 blocks on Yate, away from downtown.
Would have liked the flat to have a parking space. We knew it did not, but Victoria changed their parking rules and free parking meant a 20-minute walk. It was a bit souring to hear so many other renters going to the garage, because their rental had a spot. Oh well, we got over ourselves, and Sophia was very quick and very sweet to respond to our questions. We did take the bus a couple of times, easy and fast.
