Amazing Beach Location
All of the reviews are accurate as far as this area of the world being heaven on earth. You can’t get a better beach, finer sand, and gorgeous views anywhere else! It truly is worth it to come to Eleuthera for those reasons.
Tropical Impulse — it is great location in the beach. a beautiful beach house, with an 80s feel/motif. While we were there, we encountered a few problems with the house and the owner was quick to have his service people fix them. They did a great job managing the property remotely. I felt as if he really wanted to make things right, so we appreciated that very much. Remember, there are bugs...lots of “noseeums” on the beach and yes, large palmetto bugs. There are geckos in the house, so that is a comfort to know that they are taking care of any bugs indoors. The ‘third’ bedroom in this house is actually a separate apartment below the house with connecting outdoors steps. We used the deck quite a lot as it is expansive and gets enough sunlight.
Helpful tips: Lots of bugs....Make sure you bring Avon
Skin So Soft and something that has DEET in it. I think before our stay was over, I had over a hundred bites in my legs. We came here for Christmas, and I have to say that if you want to go somewhere for the warmth and sunshine, there are no guarantees this time of year (which it is supposedly peak season..not sure about that). For three days we had rain and high winds. Out of the 9 days, we had two’ish sunny days!
You aren’t really coming to the Bahamas for the food...unless you want to pay beacoups bucks for what I consider just an ok meal...island food and restaurants are expensive. Do your research online as far as what food to bring as there are many helpful articles out there.
Lobstering, due to the high winds — it was impossible to catch any lobster. My husband who is experienced with snorkeling and diving went out almost everyday and came back with nothing! We finally our purchased lobster tail at a local restaurant!
Also, in order to see a sunset, this house is located on the east side of the island, so you have to drive across (15ish minutes) to catch a sunset
We will definitely visit Eleuthera again, but most likely in the summer when pineapples are in season.
What a great location. The beach is incredible which is where we spent 90% of our time. Ken was a great host and very responsive to anything we had questions on. Would definitely go back!
Great views and beach
Lovely home with a paved road. The beach for the house was the best one on the road. Our neighbors used it due to the great location. The house had everything we needed and great extras like the kayaks, snorkel gear and hammock. Beds were comfy and the linens very nice. Could have used a couple more beach towels but the washer and dryer are there so it worked. Ken worked with us on late check out and Leslie was very responsive when we contacted him. Great home for families or a group.
Enjoyed our stay on the island. We rented a car though owners recommendation and had no troubles. The house suited our needs and we can’t wait to go back!
One week in paradise
We spend one week in paradise. The house is beautiful And completely equipped, the 30 seconds walk private beach is amazing And Kenneth is one of the most gentle host We ever had.
Absolutely lovely Island retreat!
Eleuthera Island is magnificent, beautiful, relaxing… So many wonderful things. At the end of the day exploring, hiking, snorkeling, or just sightseeing, we were so happy to come home to Tropical Impulse. As beautiful as Eleuthera it is, I would not describe it as luxurious. The house, however, was always a lovely oasis to return to at the end of the day. Highly recommend; hope to return ourselves someday soon. Great for families, couples, or small groups of eight people or so.
Just a short walk down the path lies a completely private beach. It sports beautiful pink sands perfect for beach-combing to find the perfect shell.
Our beach is one of the best on the island for snorkeling and scuba diving. Directly off of our beach lies a huge expanse of reefs there for your enjoyment and exploration.
Enjoy using both of our ocean kayaks. They are both solo/duo kayaks, and one is even clear bottomed so that the reefs can be enjoyed without even getting wet.
The soft sand and mellow waves make for a perfect swimming environment that can be enjoyed by adults as well as children.
There are an abundance of great activities for the whole family in close proximity to the house. They include exploring deserted beaches, chartering a boat for either deep sea or bone fishing, perusing shops throughout the island, and much more. There are several restaurants nearby the house that serve great food including many local delicacies.
