Perfect for us as a family
We loved it- nothing more or less than we needed. Pool was lovely and air con worked well in the bedrooms
great you have enjoyed your stay at the villa,
we would love to see you again sometime,
Lovely villa in rural location
The villa was great, lovely views and garden. Short drive to Pollensa and the old town at Alcudia, both with delightful restaurants and shops. Beaches nearby are fantastic, Puerto Pollensa being the best. You need a car. The only feedback I have for the owners is that they need many more good knives and chopping boards!
Great family villa
Good location - not too far to Alcúdia and pollenca whilst also rural enough to be quiet and peaceful. Juan and Maria are absolutely lovely and very helpful. Great outdoor spaces. Villa inside is slightly tired and could do with a bit of modernisation. Having said that it is a great place for a family holiday - spacious, great pool and BBQ.
thanks for your stay and recomendation,
you were a great guest,
Juan & Maria
Beautiful. Extremely clean and comfortable
We had a wonderful time at the villa, it was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with choices to eat inside or outside in the beautiful garden. The pool was very well maintained, and the villa's position was perfect for a peaceful retreat, yet restaurants, beaches and shops were only a short drive away. The owner, Juan, was welcoming and the bottle of wine and tea, coffee and cream were a nice surprise. We will be booking again next year!
Very glad you have enjoyed your stay,
You will be allways welcome,
thanks and I look forward to see you again,
Beautifull property in lovely location.Ideally situated for peace but close enough to beach and town
Villa was very clean and all equipment provided was adequate to needs .Swimming pool was great and for cooling off .
Juan was very attentive and was at the end of the phone when needed and sorted problems out very quickly .
Did have a problem with ants but was very little that could be done to prevent this other than keeping food off surfaces .
Would definitely visit area again and would return to Vila .
Perfect setting for Pollenca and Alcudia
We were pleasantly surprised when arriving at the villa as the photos don't do it justice. All rooms were clean and as described. As we arrived in the early hours of a Sunday we were pleased to see that Juan had left us bread, jam, milk, tea and coffee and the salt and pepper and wine was also a nice touch. He was very discreet but when the electricity failed (meaning no water either) on a Sunday afternoon, he and Maria could not do enough to help, contacting the local authority and getting it all sorted before nightfall. The villa is in a perfect situation, off the main road from Pollenca to Alcudia, so quiet (apart from the curlews) and private. Great place to be situated for either of the main towns and only 10 minute drive to the beach areas. Enjoyed visits to the main Puerto Pollenca beach and Formentor and also loved Albufeira Park where we saw ospreys, hoopoes and kingfishers amongst other birds and large fish. Great base for cycling too and the pool was a nice size but fairly deep throughout, fine for our teenagers but perhaps not for younger children. In summary this was our perfect spot for two weeks in northern Mallorca and would love to return.
very glad you enjoyed your stay in the villa,
you will be allways welcome,
Biking, hiking and bird watching takes over the normal summer tourism in the coldest months. Then the cyclists take the opportunity to train with professionals who use this region in the north of the island as a training camp to prepare for the Tour de France.
March and April see the island used as a starting point for migratory birds stop and attracts many birdwatchers who come to see a number of unusual species including black vulture are breeding in the Valley within walking distance Ternelles from the city. It is also near the nature reserve of Albufereta, which is home to many species of birds.
There are also plenty of excursions to the coastal areas and in the mountains to walk. Along with the celebrations and festivals throughout the year the city can really offer something for the entire year. There are many water sports available on the nearby beaches of Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia.
The beautiful beaches of Cala Sant Vicence and the sandy beaches of Puerto Pollensa are within 5 km and 3 km away. Also nearby it is a little further north is one of the most picturesque beaches of the Mediterranean, the beach of Formentor (once used in the Bounty ads). This can be reached by ferry from Puerto Pollensa or road within 15 minutes, making a spectacular tour with breath taking views on the way through the wind roads.
Pollensa is a 45-minute drive from Palma Airport. Alcudia Bay is about 15 minutes by car. Sa Pobla, which is about 10 minutes by car, train access to the center of Palma, where a train can take you to more Soller on the famous line from narrow gauge railway. The cave of Campanet are a "must see" and are about 15 minutes from home by car.
Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente are 5 and 3 km.
There is a taxi stand near the main square and a local bus service throughout the year
Pollensa is famous for its Sunday market where you can buy almost anything from fresh local produce memories.
The most northern foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana are the backdrop of the Mallorcan town of Pollença. The town has a medieval old town which is just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. This city, in the shadow of the mountains of Puig de Pollença and Calvari, has managed to preserve intact its personality, despite being only a short distance from the bustle of the beach. Pollensa has been a preferred destination of painters and artists since the beginning of this century destination. Here, the cultural and artistic life never stops. The main square with its cafes and chic restaurants is the hub of the towns unique charm. There are a lot of art galleries and museums. For most of the year you can enjoy a variety of musical events and fiestas among which the most famous are those that take place in the cloister of Santo Domingo. The town is open all year round with walkers, cyclists and bird watchers taking over from the summer tourists in the cooler months.
