Short trip to Boone
Patti was great with communication and direction. It took a few minutes to find driveway with GPS but there were no surprises from VRBO link and reviews. She even let us check in early since it was available. Very comfortable. Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic! Thanksgiving at this lovely cabin, with our family, was perfect!
Everything ran smoothly! Not a worry in the world. Thank you!!!
Driveway steep! Not enough lighting in kitchen. Did have Ice maker. Dishwasher not near sink! Did like gas stove. Gas logs great! Would definitely rent again.
Wonderful place. We will definitely be booking it again next year. If I had one negative it would be the steep gravel drive. It can be challenging. With a front wheel drive Ford Explorer, it took us a couple of tries to make it up. Once we got a good "running start" we had no problems making it all the way up. Definitely worth the extra few minutes it took us to get up the drive. Awesome place! Secluded and very nice!!
Very comfortable, except kitchen lighting and very steep driveway.
Great location and very clean
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This place is tucked away in the woods but convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Hebron Falls trail at the end of the driveway is a great little hike. Only complaint is that we didn’t realize there was no air conditioning (it was fine because it was cool at night, but beware in the middle of summer) and the mattresses were quite hard. I know you can’t please everyone with a mattress, but sleeping was difficult for everyone in my family. Overall we would stay here again especially in cool weather.
Spring, summer, winter or fall there is so much to do and see. The Blowing Rock, Lindville Falls and caverns, Grandfather mountain, the Blueridge Parkway with it's many hikes and overlooks, Tweetsie Railroad and much more! At the bottom of our driveway is a small path leading down to National forest. Boone Fork Trail (5 mile loop) including 'Hebron Falls.' Spend a day hiking our front yard!! You'll never be at a loss for something to do here. Skiing, fishing, hiking, canoeing, golfing, repelling, antiquing, biking (down the ski slopes in the summer!) and more. Main Street, Blowing Rock is approximately 4 miles away. ASU about 10 miles. Everything you could possibly want to do or see is within a 15-30 minute drive.
