Remodeled Makani Sands 103 is a direct ocean front ground floor unit only 20 steps from a secluded sandy beach with great swimming, snorkeling, & uncrowded surf. You'll love the stunning year-round sunset and twin island views (with whales breaching in season) right from the kitchen, living room or the oceanfront lanai.

We are located between the world class resorts and golf courses at Kapalua and Kaanapali, and just minutes from award-winning restaurants, activities, and an outlet mall. Low-rise Makani Sands offers convenient proximity to all with a more peaceful atmosphere.

Fully furnished with tile floors, granite counters, W/D, etc., our resort amenities include pool & beachside BBQ. Like most buildings in this neighborhood ours is not equipped with air conditioning however you're so close to the cool water and tropical breeze this is rarely an issue. The sleeper sofa provides a second bed if needed.

Our unique sea wall creates an inlet relative to the surrounding rocky coastline. Tides push sand in to create a beach which varies in depth by several feet and can at times be completely submerged. There is always access for swimming and snorkeling. Makani Sands is where the local turtles tend to stay. The turtles know what they're doing.

Above and beyond stay. 😁
We had never been to Hawaii before. We heard from people that Hawaii is great, but never imagined it to be this good. We stayed for almost a week just before spring break. We saw so many whale activity from the patio chairs, saw a few turtles right up to the beach wall. Absolutely wonderful way to wake up in the morning to the waves and the scenery. We always had our breakfast and dinner out on the patio while looking for whale (and we always saw something). Most amazing sunsets if the clouds are not there. 🙂 The stay was honestly better than we could ever expect. This was our first plane trip with our family of four with a 4 and an 11 year old, and we truly plan on coming back to this spot annually if we can make it fit. 13/10. We loved it so much! Thank you for providing such a wonderful spot to make such memories. It was beyond magical!!! 💜❤️💜

Perfect oceanfront unit
Tom’s place was perfect for our needs…fully equipped kitchen, a patio space that opens right up to the grass/ocean with viewing of turtles and humpbacks daily right from the loungers. Never had an issue finding a parking space and the building was quiet and the lawn space well maintained. We look forward to staying again one day!

Where the sun meets the sea ❤️
The accommodations provided by the host are well furnished and in excellent condition! The building is in good condition, recently painted. The back yard was meticulously groomed and the sunsets off the deck are out of this world! The surf every day was very calming to watch and listen and you’ll see lots of sea turtles. Makani Sands is in a good location with a farmers market and nice shops nearby. There is a lovely pool to enjoy and it is not crowded. The islands make a nice background in the sunset. The property is everything that the description says it is.

Great neighborhood!
Property is located fairly close to several popular beaches and within walking distance to multiple amenities. The beach by the seawall is entirely sandy and excellent for swimming.

Great stay
Checkin was easy and communication with Thomas was fantastic. Lovely one bedroom condo right on the water. A quiet building that is unique in that although it’s dated, it’s charming. In a lower key neighborhood than most parts of Maui. We loved it.
