Great stay in Winter Harbor
Property was nice and a walking distance from most everything in the small community. The property included all that we needed including a grill, bikes and toys for the kids. Sharon was great about getting back to us when our plans changed and we needed to modify our reservation. It was easy working with her on all of our questions.
This property has about everything you need for your stay. Well worth checking it out.
Cozy Winter Harbor cottage
Great location! Walking distance to restaurants and local grocery store. The house is equipped with everything you need.
A Great location!
This property was wonderfully equipped for guests, with linens, towels, recreational equipment, and even cooking ingredients! It is very thoughtfully prepared for a comfortable stay and the owners were very thoughtful in providing day trip details as well as suggestions for enjoying the area.
Enjoyed our stay immensely
Relaxation at it's Finest
We very much enjoyed our weeklong stay at this house. With a bay view from the master bedroom, the unique structure, and quiet location all being a plus, we cannot recommend this house enough.
We enjoyed sunsets each night in the Schoodic area of Acadia, just minutes away. This section of the park was fairly private and relaxing, whereas we needed to sit through traffic over in Bar Harbor for busy views. There is a Tuesday farmer's market right across the street, a delicious seafood experience right next door, and our other favorites The Lob-store and and a one-man coffee shop also just a few minutes away.
Sharon's hospitality was great. There were many pamphlets, menus, and information guides for us, she was very responsive to questions, and even left us a jar of special Maine blueberry jam.
The three of us had plenty of room to stay. There were supplies for us to cook fresh lobsters and a backyard propane grill. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The only tip we would give for those booking, is the bathroom is a little tight. We are younger, but for an older crowd, a big step into the bathtub style shower may be little harder.
We would recommend the espresso blueberry twist ice cream from Me & Ben's (right up the street from the park entrance), tuna poke from the Lob-store, a lobster roll from restaurant next door, a park sunset and a round of golf at Grindstone Neck (remarkable ocean views on every hole!).
This is absolutely the best way to enjoy Maine! Our first experience here was everything we imagined and we can't wait to return. We would absolutely book this location again and highly recommend it!
