The property itself was nice overall. The only issues we had were with the gate access and cleanliness of the dishes and the walls. Because everything is white I just feel that someone needs to clean the walls and the staircase. Also the pots and pans were very dirty, greasy and used. It's time for some new cookware. The gate access was annoying, although we had the window tag we still had to ring the buzzer and wait to get through. Sometimes the wait was about 5 minutes. Most of the time if someone else was going through we drove in behind them. Overall we had a good stay. Just a few minor things that can easily be fixed.
It was a great place to stay for the week we visited Disney. The only complaint I could have is it was very hard to get in and out of the gated community even with a gate pass. A lot of times you had to wait for a permanent resident to pull up and piggy back them into the gates or you were stuck outside the property for a couple minutes.
Nice accomodation BUT
The town home was clean, nice and spacious for our 2 families (10 people). Worked perfectly for our needs. Noticed some wear already (kitchen drawer fell out once, shower doors crooked, blinds coming apart) but wasn't a big deal.
The MAJOR problem was lack of info. Check-in email gave door code only. NOTHING about checking in at office or how to get in the gate.
Our second night we were finally told to get a parking pass at the office across the street. There we were told to call the guard shack at the gate to be let in.
The next night we kept pressing the button to call the guard with no answer. After driving across the street to the guard shack he said he couldn't let us in.
The 4th night the guard asked to see our entry bar code which we knew nothing about. Also the guard gave us a hard time because our parking pass didn't have anything written on it (faded because the girl at the desk used a PINK HIGHLIGHTER which lasted 1 day on the dash in the sun) She tried to use a pink highlighter again before I stopped her.
So after a week of being there we had a bar code to get in the gate which also never worked once.
It wasn't just us. Every night arriving at the gate there would be anywhere from 3 to as many as 7 cars trying yo get in the gate so this is clearly a major problem. The only way we were ever able to get in is to either drive back to the guard shack or "piggy back" behind someone else before the gate closed like Indiana Jones.
This was a nightly frustration. If this hadn't been an issue it would have been 4 stars instead of 2.
The only other thing I would add is, at any other VRBO I have used, the previous guests leave things they didn't use (toilet paper, paper towels, staples like oil, sugar, coffee filters, dish soap, unopened water bottles, etc.) I'm not sure but It seems like if anything is left the cleaning people pitch it. They did have one roll of toilet paper and a salt shaker.
Villa was perfect the description was as per the web site, but the estate was very noisy
The construction work was expected and did not impact on our holiday. What did is the constant coming and going of other guests at all hours of the night I realise now due to the size of the estate particularly the town houses section this would prevent me from returning to Windsor’s at Westside.
I was very pleased with my stay until I saw roaches coming out of the dishwasher
It was a very beautiful property otherwise but unfortunately I will not be using Home Away again for Orlando, FL.
7 night stay
Great condo for the price. Nice clubhouse. Quick response from management to all questions. Great overall stay.
