About this property

Charming Lakefront Mountain Cabin

Charming Lakefront Cabin located in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Lake Adger.

Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend in or exploring the mountains of NC, our chalet is perfect for your mountain getaway. Just a short drive to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville and the Tryon equestrian center.

The cabin features a large master bedroom with a jacuzzi tub and a 2nd bedroom with its own bathroom. Both bedrooms are queen size beds and there is a pullout sofa in living room. The living room area has plenty of comfy seating and is great to curl up by the wood burning fireplace to watch your favorite movie or play a board game. The cabin has private wifi for personal devices as well as the smart tv for streaming services like Netflix or Youtube TV. *There is no cable.

Be sure to have your morning coffee either on the open deck or screened in porch, both overlooking the lake. The deck has a gas grill for all of your outdoor cooking needs. Speaking of cooking, we try to keep all of the comforts of home, so the kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pans and cooking utensils as well as coffee pods for the kuerig.

We also keep plenty of fresh linens, but if you find yourself needing a washer/dryer that is located right outside the master bedroom as well.

The cabin has a brand new ac unit, however depending on the time of year, you may only need the warmth of the fireplace or mountain breeze of an open window.

And don't forget to take advantage of the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings in downtown Columbus or Hendersonville.

Information regarding Lake Adger:
Lake Adger draws its unique character from following the course of the scenic Green River. Miles of the Green River, upstream, are protected by conservation.

Kayaks and canoes are welcome at Lake Adger and there is a public boat ramp and dock just on the other side of the lake at Silver Creek. The lake level can fluctuate up and down by five feet, especially during the summer. Please do not tie your boat to the shore, docks or marina slips without the express permission of the individual property owner. While the land was once paper company land, it is now the property of Lake Adger property owners.
Please be courteous while boating. We encourage you to enjoy your time at Lake Adger, but ask that others be allowed to enjoy theirs as well. Remember to cut your engine when passing fishermen along the shore or individuals in smaller watercraft, watch for children swimming from shore and private docks. Lake Adger is patrolled by the NC Department of Natural Resources. Use good judgment and obey laws and regulations while boating.

Lake Adger is approximately 450 acres with approximately 14.5 miles of shoreline.
Boating, fishing and water recreation are a focus here. Restrictions are in place to provide a safe environment for the full recreational use and enjoyment of the lake, including boating, swimming, and fishing. Public access is located 1.5 miles away at Silver Creek. There is an 80 horsepower limit on pontoon boats and a 60 horsepower restriction on any other watercraft; to maintain its tranquil environment, no jet skis or water skiing is permitted on the lake.

Beautiful location and comfortable home
This cabin is cozy and comfy. The lake view is beautiful. We loved the welcome basket. Remember to grab logs to enjoy the fireplace. We spent Christmas at the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed the area hiking

A great place to stay.
We loved the Chalet. It was exactly like the pictures but better in person. It was quiet but not isolated. The cabin is well appointed and stocked with what you need.

Great Get Away
The chalet was very cozy, and from the back deck and screened-in porch was a beautiful, close up view of Lake Adgar. We loved spending time out there! We'll go again!

Hi! My name is Amy and thank you so much for your interest in our cabin. My husband Alan and I bought this chalet as our mountain getaway over 15 years ago. We unfortunately lost my husband 6 years ago and we loved our cabin too much for me to part ways. So my kids and I decided to share our special vacation place with others. Now we also get to bring my grandson whenever we can and create wonderful new family memories. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

All the best,

Amy, Andrew, Elisabeth + Henry
