- A $250 penalty will be applied if you smoke, have a pet in the condo, or use of cannabis for any purpose that results in smoke or odour within lodge
- The lodge has a ZERO tolerance noise bylaw during the quite time (10pm-7pm).
Convenient in Canmore
This apartment is positioned on the top floor of a large condo complex (Lodges of Canmore) with the balcony providing a good view to the mountains. Only a short walk into the centre of town, it's in a great location. Comfortably furnished, it has a well appointed kitchen and large, comfortable bed.
The one thing we found annoying was the air conditioner, which was a large, noisy mobile unit that took up valuable floorspace in the bedroom. The tube for the external vent had been cheaply installed, replacing the flyscreen with perspex. This had been the one window in the apartment that could be opened, but this was sealed shut. So there was no way to create any natural air flow other than leaving the balcony door open.
The host Angelina was very responsive with our booking, and provided a lot of additional information about Canmore. Check-in was very simple.
Guests of this apartment can access Lodges facilities, which includes car parking, a swimming pool and hot tubs.
We found Canmore accommodation expensive, and this apartment was well priced for its location, amenity and facilities. However, the loud air conditioner / no fresh air situation was disappointing.

We installed a portable air conditioner for summer months only, but it did not occur to us that this would affect the natural air flow. We have removed the portable unit and are looking for a computable way which would allow fresh air in and also the portable air conditioner cool the room if required. Thanks,
It was clean and quiet
Nice property, well situated to town and paths
Great location for visiting Banff. Would recommend that the owners leave an instruction sheet on how to run the television. We did figure it out, but instructions would be helpful. We could never get the ceiling fan light in the bedroom to work. The remote control on the wall, we found, operated nothing. Perhaps the light is burned out? I would recommend to future travelers that if you arrive before the 4:00pm check in time, that you get prior authorization from the owner to check in early. We did not know this & arrived at 3:05pm and were not allowed to check in with out permission. Overall, a great place to stay. View of the mountains was beautiful, especially with snow! Would recommend.
Would not rent this unit again
While unit itself is fairly new, furniture is old. Coffee table has broken leg, very wobbly. Dining chairs very uncomfortable as is the couch. This would NOT be a good rental for a family of four as advertised. Much to small and only two drawers in a very small dresser in the small bedroom to unpack clothes. Small closet as well. Kitchen cooking untensils are limited. No TV in the bedroom. King size bed is uncomfortable. Air conditioning unit is too loud. Hot tub and pool are just ok and not that close to the unit. Work out area is lacking equipment, is small and stuffy. Not worth the price we paid for this rental. There are railroad tracks close by and train noise is very noticeable. Avoid unless you are by yourself and can get for a good price.

We agree with the comment that the unit is not suitable for four adults as the sofa bed is a standard double sized. We will include this reminder on our website momentarily. As to other comments, they are quite unexpected. We have heard so many positve comments as we also post the unit on other platforms. For instance, the comments on pool and hot tub, the four-season outdoor pool is right outside the building and hot-tub is in the same building as the unit with an elevator leading to it. From our perspective, these are far from fair. As to the king sized bed, we have been testing it regularly and we are sure it is very comfortable to sleep in. Regardless, we do appreciate the guest taking the time to comment and will continue to strive for making the experience of our guests an exellent one when they stay with us.
