Great location, perfect house!
You can go ahead and believe all of the 5-star reviews for this lovely little house. It is immaculate, has beautiful antiques, books and art, comfortable furniture and a beautifully stocked kitchen. It is the six-month home of the host and you can feel her love of the space and an artistic life lived there. I won’t repeat the accurate description of the other amenities, but you will have no regrets choosing to stay here. The location is also perfect for a three day visit to see the splendid beauty of the dunes and coastline.

Great stay, super clean, great location, would stay here again!
We loved staying at this place. It was very spacious, very clean, and the host's communication was excellent. We biked & hiked in the Glen Arbor area. This place is just a very short, scenic drive to the stores and restaurants in downtown Glen Arbor. We loved it.

Sleeping Bear Happyland!
Very nicely kept property that is super clean and well located for enjoying the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. We are a family of four and we greatly appreciated calling "The Dragonfly" our home away from home. Bonnie, the host, has provided everything that one could possibly need in the kitchen, and the fire ring out back was a nice place to end the days. The house itself is very tastefully decorated and the furniture is super clean and comfortable. My son and I enjoyed reading some of the local history books that are provided in the home. WIFI was strong and consistent. The neighbor Beth was very kind to us in providing information that enhanced our stays in the area as sightseeing info and dining tips were just the tip of the info that she shared with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend this booking to anyone. Thanks Bonnie - we look forward to staying at your home again!

Growing up on Glen Lake as a child in the 50s set the course of my life. Although I have lived many places, including Germany, I have always returned to the only place I know as "home". My heart is deeply rooted in Leelanau County and I've spent many years exploring its endless wonders. There is so much to love about the area from the beaches to paved bike trails, to kayaking and hiking, the possibilities for outdoor enthusiasts are endless. In addition to staying active I am passionate about art and spend much of my time in front of an easel, both indoors and en plein air, working in pastels. Wonderful friends, good books, the State and Bijou Theaters in Traverse City, Bay Theater in Suttons Bay, and living environmentally consciously round out life in this blue water paradise.

Moving to my summer home on Little Glen Lake allows me to share my winter home with my guests and I sincerely hope you find it to be a comfortable, warm and inviting place to regroup after enjoying fun and adventure filled days in this magnificent water wonderland.

Why they chose this property

Previously a summer resident only, I purchased this property in 2017 as the pull to return permanently to my roots began to dominate my thoughts. My summer place is seasonal (May-Oct) and my longing for the year-round experience led me to this well cared for manufactured home on a large lot. I fell in love with it immediately. The privacy and abundance of pine trees were an instant draw. I purchased the property with the intent of renting it while spending summers on the lake.

What makes this property unique

The open spaces, both front and back, provide a safe play area for children, away from the road. The shade of gigantic pines lend a cool, comfortable place to enjoy the outdoors. Logistically, the property is not far from Lake Michigan's many beaches, access to Glen Lake, Crystal River, the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, and miles of gorgeous hiking trails featuring stunning views. I also have a fabulous neighbor next door, Beth. She is the general manager at Sleder's Family Tavern in Traverse City, Michigan’s oldest, continuously operated restaurant. For a taste of history and one of the best burgers (including vegan), consider a visit to Sleder's on your next trip into the city.
