Fantastic 2 Bedroom Flat, Free Wifi/TV. Central Castle Location At Chain Bridge
About Diane Goudie
I run an event's organisation in Glasgow and fell in love with Budapest 11 years ago. My brother and I bought this apartment then and have enjoyed going there on holiday ever since. I am very easy to contact via phone or email and have a great agent who will meet you at the flat on your arrival. My neighbours are also extremely helpful
Diane Goudie purchased this Apartment in 2003

Near the Castle
The apartment is spacious and conveniently located to the Castle District and trams to Pest. It is also well-equipped. However, there were no keys to the apartment on arrival, no linens on the beds, and the floors were dirty. I had to find a neighbor to let me in and we made up the beds together. Non-smokers should know that smokers abound in Hungary so smoke pervades even the laundry. Smokers won't notice. The walls are thin and neighbors arose 4-5 am. Bring ear plugs!
Dear Virginia, I apologise again for the lack of preparation for your arrival. This was the first time that this has ever happened and I appreciate that this was unacceptable. I did try to remedy the situation immediately upon hearing from you. Sincere apologies once again. Kindest regards, Diane
First visit to Hungary
Good value in nice location—easy tram or short walk to everything in Buda
flat with character in quiet, lovely neighborhood
We stayed 3 days in the flat. Diane was fantastic about responding to any concern we had. The apartment is older, but that was part of the charm of it for us. Loved the neighborhood. Quiet, with a bakery stand just down the street for our morning pastry, but close to several bus stops. We'd definitely stay there again.
A treasure by the castle
A wonderful visit. Superb location and excellent facilities. Peacefully quiet at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily come again.
The other side of town is handily available by bus or can be reached by a short and pleasant walk through the tunnel to Clark Adam's Square and across the iconic Széchenyi Chain Bridge into Pest.
Bright, spacious and well-appointed, the apartment is tastefully (and thoughtfully) decorated and furnished throughout. A beautiful fusion between antique and modern furniture - such elegant taste.
Lovely, friendly and helpful neighbours. A delightful communal garden with all the spring flowers out on our visit. Glorious birdsong filled the air. A jay with beautiful blue wings was a frequent visitor. Lovely, calm atmosphere.
All amenities are handy and generally to a good standard.
Diane is very efficient, supportive and helpful in her prompt replies to e-mails and has lovely housekeeping ladies handily available on site. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
We highly recommend it accordingly.

Beautiful apartment in quiet setting within easy reach of amenities
This is the second holiday property we have booked with HomeAway, but the first time we have booked an apartment for a city-break, so it was something a bit different from our usual hotel stays.
It's a lovely spacious apartment in a very quiet part of Budapest, yet within easy reach of transport, the Danube and local amenities. We only ate breakfast in the apartment, but the kitchen is huge and well stocked with everything you would need to cook for 5 people. The living room is spacious and sunny with comfy sofa and chairs - we couldn't get the TV working but there is a CD player for music and DVDs to watch if you're spending time indoors.
The bed was comfy with a shared en-suite bathroom connecting the two bedrooms - maybe an issue if staying with friends but as there were only two of us it didn't bother us at all, and the toilet is separate anyway. The shower is small but powerful and adequate for what you need on a city holiday. The apartment isn't posh, but it has a lovely welcoming feel to it and makes a great base for exploring the beautiful city of Budapest.
The owner couldn't have been more helpful - answering emails within a hour or so and providing lots of local info which helped get us off to a good start. As we arrived mid-evening, knowing where the local supermarket was to get milk etc was a godsend!!
Overall - we could definitely recommend the apartment for those wanting peace and quiet at home but within easy reach of the tourist sights, bars, restaurants etc.
Dear Carolyn, thanks so much for taking the time to write such an informative, helpful review for other travellers. I am so glad that you liked the apartment, Best wishes, Diane
We loved this place. The pictures don't do it justice. Close to trams and busses. Diane made sure we had everything needed.
Dear Ruthann, Thanks so much for writing such a nice review. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay in Budapest. Regards, Diane
Logodi utca is very centrally located just 5 mins walk from all the restaurants at the Castle and also just a short walk over the Chain Bridge to Vaci Utca and the Basillica and all that Pest has to offer.
