A quite place in a countryside
Starting with the positive: a quiet and peaceful location, comfortable beds, good communication with the owner, 2 toilets and basic supplies provided.
Wish we had: space to hang clothes in the bedrooms as well as laundry and cooking necessities such as detergent, pepper and cooking oil. Kitchen is very compact with little space for meal preparation but adequate for a quick bite.
Quiet and relaxing stay
Very quiet part of the village. Hosts are very relaxed and uninvolved with our stay. No barking dogs or motorbikes. Perfect location for visiting the cemeteries.
Very comfortable accommodation in tranquil location
The accommodation comprises part of the host's house and has separate entry and there is no noise between the two. It was very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed with good bed-linen and equipped with everything needed including cleaning products and handsoap. The village is very quiet and has a bakery in walking distance and a very small market on Thursdays. We also saw a takeaway pizza van parked in a
street and serving customers one evening.
Communication with Nicholas was very prompt and he was friendly and helpful. As there was no-one booked in after us we were able to check out later. The only thing I would add is a wardrobe in one of the bedrooms as although there are plenty of drawers the only hanging space is in a cupboard downstairs with hoover etc so ideal for coats but maybe not dresses. All in all would thoroughly recommend for a quiet getaway within easy driving distance of Lens, Vimy etc.
We loved our stay here.
The accommodation is on the right of the main photo of the house with a separate entry. It's very quiet and had everything we needed, plus more space for the two of us. We travelled as far as Amiens and Lille and all places in between. Recommend Louvre-Lens, the Saturday morning market in Arras, and all the WWI memorials including Vimy, the Australian National Memorial at Villers Bretonneux and the site of the battle of Le Hamel. Thank you to Nicolas and Aurelie for making us feel at home. Until we meet again. À Bientôt.
Very comfortable, clean and cozy accommodation
A group of 5 adults and 1 baby had a fantastic stay. It was the ideal base to visit the WW1 battlefields which was our main reason for the visit over the Armistice weekend.
Nicolas and Aurelie kept in touch and provided us with plenty of information prior to and during our stay - thanks so much for a wonderful few days!
well presented and well equiped apartment. very friendly and helpful owners.
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. the apartment is spacious, well equiped, well presented and in a lovely garden setting. it is close to Arras and all the WW1 sites and Aurelie kindly prepared an itinerary for us to follow.
we do not hesitate to recommend this property and would use it ourselves again.
