This is a great home located at Donner Lake! Walk in the front door and you have two bedrooms downstairs, one with a Queen and one with a bunk bed and two singles. There is also a full bath with a very spacious shower. The laundry room is also on this level. Upstairs you will find the bright and open main living area, kitchen and dining. There are two bedrooms on this level, each with a private bathroom. Upstairs you will find the loft area and another bedroom with a queen bed. The loft area has a full bathroom. This truly is the perfect getaway for winter or summer!

Donner Lake Getaway
The property has clearly been updated since some of the prior posts. Very nice kitchen and living room area. Deck has both a propane grill and gas flat-top griddle, both of which came in handy. The master suite is great, and there are three other decent bedrooms and nice loft area. Overall, everyone enjoyed the time at the house. A few things to improve for next person: Working light above sink in downstairs bathroom would be nice; could use curtains or blinds on the west-facing kitchen/living room windows to shield from sun; chairs on the deck would be useful, as the bench seats attached to tables are not that comfy. Did not like the extra fee for early check in - I use VRBO a lot and have never had to pay that before. Finally, all the used paint/stain and old wood stored along the side of the house is not appealing.

This place for the $2600 dollars 3 nights, so not worth it! Smells, not taken care of, at all!
It’s was so unenjoyable. It’s really smells bad. Neglected property. Cobwebs everywhere, many things didn’t work. Lights on the deck aren’t there, basic cleaning & love not visible anywhere. Pet stains in every room. Stay away! First review was spot on. I should have listened.

Highly Recommend
House is highly accommodating to a group stay with open spaces for dining, playing games, socializing and relaxing. The main floor is very comfortable and nicely equipped. The house was clean and well stocked with linens. Property managers were responsive, friendly and helpful. The house is ideally located at the mid point on the south side of the lake. It’s quiet with easy access to parks, the lake, dining etc. if you want immediate access to the lake, then you have to stay across the road. My only gripe about the house are the showers. The main bedroom situated behind the kitchen has the best shower, but getting the water temp right is really tricky. The bedroom across from it has a sorry excuse for a shower. There is a tub built under a staircase with a handheld spray nozzle. It is not possible to stand in the shower and there is no curtain. Anything other than kneeling on the floor and leaning over the tub to clean your hair is not possible. The lower level and loft showers are only marginallly better.

needs better maintenance
Nice cabin and great location. However, the manager needs to be more on top of cleaning and maintenance. Cleaner did not change sheets on one bed and bottom bathroom wasnt clean. Half of oven wasn't working and the overhead bulb was out. The deck and tables were dirty (sticky beer stains) and 2 bulbs were out on the deck as well. Also, dishwasher wasn't attached to plywood underside and master bath sink faucet was very loose. Finally, the garbage bin was full. We had to take our garbage to a dumpster until scheduled garbage day. For the amount of money they charge, the manager should make sure everything is working and place is clean.

Good Location, Amenities Ok
House was too hot during afternoon, because AC unit was not working which made for an uncomfortable stay for those who were staying on the main level and loft area, especially into the nite. Binder of house instructions was outdated, unable to connect to cable TV. There were no screen on windows thats made it unable to open at nite due to critters and bears. The dishwasher was not secured in place. When the top rack was pulled out, the enire unit would topple forward. The bunkbed on the lower level was unstable. One child almost fell while climbing down the steps. There was also dead bugs on the blanket of the upper bunk. The photos of bedrooms on the website did not match what was actually in the house. The handsoap in the loft bathroom was moldy. The floors were not clean - the bottom of our feet and socks were black. All of the drains in the bathroom reeked of sewage. The water filter on the fridgerator was on. The sliding door without thebscreen on the main level was very difficult to open. The house itself was nice, just wish it was cooler inside.
