We had a fantastic stay at the villa, the pool is huge and recently refurbished, our children loved the fact that you could change the colour of the pool lights at night. The out door kitchen meant we cooked and ate by the pool each day.
Over all a superb time we would highly recommended it.
Lovely week with family
Just returned home from a weeks stay here. Villa was beautiful with lots of grounds and different places sit in the sun or escape in the shade. Cathy the owner was very friendly and helpful, she also left us a welcome pack which was great and meant we didn’t need to rush to the supermarket on arrival. It was nice that the villa had everything we needed already there, for example hand soaps in the bathrooms, washing up cloths, dishwasher tablets etc.
The pool area was perfect for us, especially the outside kitchen which was very well equipped. The pool was very large and good for swimming etc, it does get deep very quickly though.
There are three air-con units available at extra cost, we only purchased the one in the master bedroom upstairs as the first floor was particularly hot.
Downstairs there are three bedrooms one double and two twins. There is air-con available in the double only. We chose not to bother with air-con downstairs as it stays relatively cool if you keep the doors open and fans on.
As for the location of the villa, a car is necessary! it is only a short drive to Moraira, parking there was easy with a large car park. Moraira has a few nice shops and restaurants.
In addition to Moraira there are other ports which are nice to drive to for an evening out, we particularly liked Xàbia which had lots of restaurants on the sea front.
Booking the villa was made very easy as Michelle the owners niece was very good and answered all of our questions by email promptly.
In conclusion, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely return. I think we would probably purchase all three air-con units next time though, definitely the two upstairs ones.
A wonderful Villa
We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this Villa and I have to say what a wonderful Villa and a fantastic experience for my family and I. Michelle was a pleasure to deal with whilst booking our trip and our contact at the Villa Geoff was extremely helpful and contactable throughout our stay.
Absolutely everything is on site for you to enjoy your stay. The pool is cleaned twice a week. The outdoor kitchen meant that we enjoyed family time from morning till night and again very well equipped.
Beds are very comfortable and all linen and towels clean and of a good quality.
We will definitely return to this property due to the service we have received and the high standard of the Villa.
One last thing, thank you Catherine for allowing us to share your beautiful Villa and the wonderful memories my family and I now cherish. An absolute pleasure.
Villa definitely not as described - substandard customer service
Booked this villa through home away using specific search criteria. We have been staying in villas for over 10 years and will only book properties with air con. Shortlisted the properties with air con and then booked this villa. Upon arrival the owner demanded more money for aircon. I was completely shocked and showed the advertisement she placed from home away. She was unapologetic and was adamant that under no circumstances where we to activate the aircon and confiscated the remotes. We tried to reason by pointing out again the advertisement she placed with home away to which she relied I'm not paying for your aircon I don't care what it says in the advertisement. We offered a compromise of just using one unit in the living area however she would not entertain it. As a result the entire upstairs of the property was unusable due to the heat. This was the beginning of problems with the owner because things just got worse from here.
We were warned not to take her towels to the beach as previously tenants had ruined her white towels. We don't go to the beach so this was not a problem.
However while sunbathing with my young son a car drove in and a stranger cane in demanding to know where the missing towels where. I was completely shocked and offended to be disturbed in this maner it became clear he was the owners partner and I informed him we had done a wash of towels. He then proceeded to say that we where not supposed to be washing towels and ran round gathering up towels.
This is a prime example of the complete unprofessional attitude of the owner.
This house belongs to the owner and she informed me on arrival that she had to move out for us to move in.
She seemed annoyed by our presence even though we had rented the house in good faith. We felt that we were an inconvenience to her.
We avoided contact with her the rest of the trip as she repeatedly offended us with her negative attitude. All contact was by email through home away.
Wish I had picked one of the many other properties on my shortlist.
I understand that travelers can be overheated and tired when they arrive at the villa, the cleaners and I did our utmost to have the villa ready two hours early for Paula Sweeney.
They said the villa was lovely when shown around, the only issue was the air con, I told her it was all explained on the website. I charge separately for aircon to keep the villa price down for those who don't want it.
As for the towels, I provide 8 beach towels for outside use, when the linen was changed, we were 6 towels short, my partner called to pick them up they were needed for the next linen change Paula was very rude again by this time they had 30 towels my partner is incapable of running around , I found paula very intimidating i have been with HomeAway many years and this is my first upsetting review
Fantastic villa in a lovely area
We had a wonderful fortnight at this villa in August. The villa is everything as described, with all the things we needed to make our holiday special.
We stayed here as a family of 6 and there was ample space for us to lounge by the pool, dine on the veranda, or eat a meal in the outside BBQ area. The pool is large, although if you have little ones, be warned that it gets deep quickly. Due to positioning of the villa on the side of the hill, it's secluded and quiet and at night there is very little noise in the neighbourhood.
This is first villa we've stayed in with a bathroom that is larger than most bedrooms, fitted with a fantastic light up Jacuzzi bath which our children absolutely loved.
The villa is spacious, clean and well stocked, allowing you to enjoy a fully self-catered holiday or if the mood takes you visit the nearby town of Moraira. The local town has plenty of good restaurants and spots for a drink, but in mid-august the good places are booked days in advance, as we found out to our peril. For the more adventurous Moraira can be reached on foot in 15 to 20 minutes. Good for those who count their steps or like to run in the morning.
Local amenities are close by, with several supermarkets on your doorstep providing everything you possibly need during your break.
We'd love to come back and visit again, the owner was very helpful and friendly and the area is relaxed, safe and cosmopolitan.
Spotless, spacious & well equipped.
This was our second stay - just as clean & well maintained as the first time!
The pool is huge - possible to have a proper swim in it - but the jewel is the outdoor kitchen by the side of the pool. There's a big gas BBQ, a large fridge freezer, gas hobs, and even a dishwasher so no need to carry dirty dishes etc. to the house kitchen to wash.
Overall a lovely comfortable property - and Cathy the (very friendly) owner lives nearby so on hand for any help or advice.
You can walk into town along the new path - about 15 mins - but we always took taxis back as it's up a hill.
The villa is exactly one hour's drive from Alicante airport. It is set in a quiet area of Moraira known as Paichi. The nearest facilities are a 2 minute drive away and include a supermarket, bars, restaurants and car hire. The nearest beach, only 5 minutes drive, is the fantastic L'Ampolla beach in Moraira, set at the base of the old castle. 5 minutes north is the secluded and picturesque beach area of El Portet. Moraira town itself is adjacent to the beach and hosts a great deal more amenities including an abundance of bars, restaurants and clubs. For the gourmet the town hosts the only Michelin 2 star restaurant on the Costa Blanca. The region as a whole is very green despite the low rainfall. This is due to a microclimate, which the World Health Organization has declared one of the healthiest climates in the world!
