A week in the Sun
This was a fantastic Villa with a very helpful Host. A great location for Pollensa Old Town (which is wonderful) and other nearby areas.
The Villa has everything you need and the bedroom air conditioning was excellent.
I would definitely recommend the Villa if you are looking to stay in this area.
Lovely little Finca
Had a wonderful stay here. The villa is traditional, rustic and has everything you would need for a fantastic holiday. The outside area is spacious, has a shaded eating area as well as an outside kitchen with barbecue (and extra bathroom with shower) table tennis and lovely pool that was cleaned once during our 9 day stay (which was adequate) . The gardens are pretty, well maintained and it was a pleasure to spend time at the villa. We enjoyed quite a few evenings here when we couldn't be bothered to venture into town. Catalina was an excellent host, even giving us a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. Communication was excellent from the start and I'm pretty sure had there been a problem during our stay, Catalina would have rectified it immediately. You definitely need a car here. The villa is in a good location, off a main road running to Pollensa, (about 15mins away, with Alcudia about 25 minutes away in the opposite direction) with no option of walking on the road. However, it's not busy or noisy and the villa is gated so if you are worried about safety for young children, it wouldn't be an issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
We had a lovely week at the villa. It was all very clean and well maintained. The boys enjoyed the freedom to explore the garden and olive grove. The pool was perfect and cleaned several times whilst we were there. Catalina was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great week.
Well-equipped, traditional finca close to beaches/mountains
The property is private and conveniently tucked away between nearby Pollenca and Alcudia, both of which are a short car ride away. It is very well-equipped (including a table tennis table and lovely pool) and very peaceful. The owner, Catalina, could not have been more helpful. Although it doesn't have a view, it is surrounded by its own private garden and not over-looked.
Other considerations: the cable TV only has Spanish programmes and there is only one bathroom in the main house for the 3 bedrooms (although there is another bathroom/shower in the pool house) which wasn't a problem for us but may be for some groups.
Thank you So much for your comment and your email telling us how your stay was. I am very sorry that you could not see any T.V. programs in English. It has been a pity that you did not mention it to me, since this would have been resolved right away. There is a satellite dish and can see TV channels in English and German.
We really appreciate all the things you wrote and gladly confirm you that we already proceeded with the improvements you suggested, so that we can now offer an even more comfortable stay.
We hope to be able to host you again.
Vultures, booted eagles, purple swamp hens and cattle egrets galore!
The house was really lovely. It had been so thoughtfully renovated, was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The spacious gardens were beautiful and well looked after. Catalina and Maria were incredibly frendly and helpful; Catalina waited for us at the end of the drive with a torch late at night in the pouring rain! The directions to the house were excellent and lots of other useful info was provided. We didn't have the best weather (end of Oct) so the barbeque and the pool were left unused by us - the heaters worked well though and we were warm and comfy in the house! One of our main aims of the holiday was bird watching, and this was a great location. Really handy for Albufera wetlands, Albufereta, the Boquer valley and Cap de Formentor. Less than an hour to the Cuber reservoir where we went vulture-watching in the mountains. The house is situated a short drive from both ﹰAlcudia and ﹰPollensa and made a really good base for exploring.
This attractive Villa is set in quite countryside between Pollensa and Puerto Alcudia. Pollensa is an historic Roman town with a large central plaza, with excellent restaurants and bars, including the church built by the Crusaders. And close by is the famous Calvario hill with its 365 steps leading you to the church on the very top. Pollensa has many shops and boutiques and a vibrant Sunday market.
You can also visit Puerto Pollensa, a bustling seaside town, with beautiful beaches, with the famous pine walk, incorporating waterfront restaurants, bars, shops, with a yachting harbor offering many excursions including a visit to the unspoilt beach of Formentor with its crystal clear water.
In Alcudia old town with its 800 year old Roman walls, narrow streets, bustling with bars and restaurants, you can walk freely and enjoy the pleasure of the architecture that Alcudia has to offer, and there you can take a short trip over to the port of Alcudia and see the magnificent blue flag beach with pristine sands and clear water, again offering many different attractions such as the water park, paragliding, the boat trips and a visit to the famous Albufera national park ideal for all bird watchers.
Whatever the occasion you will enjoy the North of Mallorca which has so much to offer, then relax in the evenings in your own private Villa.
