About Meghan Pope
Hi! We are a family of six from SE Washington. We run a couple of campgrounds/RV parks: Tamarack RV Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Beach RV Park in Benton City, Washington. We love traveling, camping, and sailing.
Meghan Pope purchased this House in 1999
Why Meghan Pope chose Coeur d'Alene
This house is on Government Way in Coeur d'Alene, in a prime location close to Costco, Black Sheep Warehouse, and Safeway. It's centrally located between Lake CDA and the town of Hayden Lake. We love the water of the lake, and the convenience of the surrounding shops and stores! We own and operate Tamarack RV Park just behind this house, so it was natural for us to offer this house to guests who enjoy the comforts of kitchen and couch and patio when traveling.
What makes this House unique
With this vacation home, you can enjoy the quaint, brickstone Camper Patio with picnic tables and flower planters, in the center of our Tamarack RV Park. It is a comfortable gathering place for your family or group. Enjoy cooking on the BBQ grill or watching our pond waterfall. Tamarack House is also a great jump-off location for exploring Silverwood 15 miles to the north. Or drive east to Kellogg, Idaho, to enjoy a gondola ride up the hill to silver mines and explore an old west town! Farragut State Park is also close by.

Was a great place to sleep
Overall it was a great stay. Very clean and perfect for a quick weekend trip if you just need a place.
I will say I was a little surprised by the location. It is literally right in the middle of an RV park.
The only other issues I had was there were a significant amount of ants in the kitchen. Also we started the dishwasher and it tripped the breaker causing some of the outlets, lights, kitchen appliances, and the wifi not to work (which barely worked regardless of the breaker). However, I did call the emergency line and they sent maintenance over to fix it right away.
I appreciate the place but I can't say it was my favorite.
Nice lite spot close to town
This property supplied us with exactly what we needed! That doesnt say much cause we are very simplistic i suppose. If youre looking for a spot to entertain guests and have a small get together, this isnt it. If youre looking for a spot to wind down after a good day of a activities, cook a meal and do it all over again, this is your spot! Its a small house nestled in an RV park near somewhat of a busy road but noise was never an issue. Theres a great little fire place that puts out a relaxing warmth at days end and a tv for those that like to unwind with a show. Clean sheats and towels as well. All in all it was just what we were looking for. We would stay here again
Clean and quiet!
Tamarack House was clean, quiet and a perfect location. While the house is old, it was warm and cozy!
There were only 2 cons: 1) The bed was terrible. Seemed like a hand-me-down mattress from 1970. A mattress upgrade would REALLY help. 2) The wifi is very weak/spotty. There's 2 chairs in the kitchen that we named "the wifi chairs". Sit there. You'll get better reception. They were adding hotspots in the park while we were there so maybe it will get better.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Jr. Bowling Tournament
Very good location. Wish the weather would have cooperated to do some site seeing. House kept us very warm in the little Winter storm that rolled in on us. Guess it is that time of year. The only thing we had an issue with was the bed mattresses. Could use some newer ones. One other suggestion with the bad weather would be a floor mat on the inside of the house for the back door. Overall a very nice older remodeled home. Very cozy and quiet. Great place for the price.
Great home and location
This vrbo worked out great for our family and friends meeting in Coeur d'Alene. It is nice and quiet but located very conveniently to Safeway, Costco, and the lake. We had plenty of space. The kitchen was pretty well equipped (other than a turner/flipper) and we appreciated the dishwasher. Having the air conditioner and ceiling fans in the bedrooms was a big plus for us since it was hot out. We didn't get to use the outdoor barbecue since there was a line of campers in front of us but it was a nice space. There were plenty of paper products (i.e. toliet paper, paper towels, and kleenex). Again we were surprised at how quiet it was. No street noise and even within the house, you didn't hear the shower from the bedrooms. We were very pleased and would stay again.
Mary, thank you so much for taking the time to review us! It was a pleasure hosting your group. I am very sorry about the lacking pancake spatula, it has been replaced. We hope to see you guys again soon :)
We all enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack House
The home was very accommodating. We hope to stay again in the future! Thank you
Thank you Eileen, we really appreciate you taking the time to review us! It was a pleasure hosting you and we look forward to your next visit :)
Tamarack House is located at the front of our Tamarack RV Park. Guests often remark how quiet are the living quarters. The House is nestled among our pine trees and has a woodsy feel. It's walking distance to Safeway, Costco,
