About Kathy Eckles
I love welcoming guests to our home! I grew up outside of Cleveland and have lived on Cape Ann since 1997 when I purchased this home. My first career was as a senior executive in the retail industry for 24 years. I now provide psychology, coaching and group facilitation services for private individuals and business leaders.
Kathy Eckles purchased this House in 1997
Why Kathy Eckles chose Gloucester
Cape Ann is inspiring. I love the sea, huge rocks, and rugged, genuine people. Once I knew I wanted to move here, I had a dream in which I saw the exact same view we have overlooking the inner harbor, so the moment I walked into this home, I knew I was in the right place.
What makes this House unique
Especially love the entire back of the house - kitchen, family room, sunroom, outdoor porch and master bedroom. As they all overlook the inner harbor, there's a peaceful sense of being steeped in the vibrant blend of beauty and everyday life.

Beautiful and interesting harborside viewss
Wonderful and spacious home beautifully and conveniently situated overlooking Gloucester harbor. Watch the boats! Walk to Main Street and all the shops/museum! Easily accessible to Route 128, everything! Owner/manager so nice and accommodating! Would definitely return!
Kathys property is awesome. Beautiful home, fantastic location for walking and driving to destinations, overlooking the fishing boats. Kathy was warm and responsive and provided detailed itineraries and recommendations for food and destinations. Would highly recommend staying here.
Really nice space and enjoyed our time
Like being at home
Kathy was more than kind in offering information on the area, current happenings and restaurants and local sites
The house was very comfortable and generously supplied with all the items for kitchen, bathrooms, even for all out door activities I felt, comfortable, safe and at home
The house is well-appointed, we were very comfortable. The house is also convenient enabling us to walk or bike enabling autonomy and leaving car in garage.
A Step Above
This property exceeded our expectations in all aspects. We felt very pampered in this beautiful house. It was within walking distance to water attractions, wonderful places to eat and drink, shopping for both food and drink, and souvenirs. The house was stocked with any piece of cooking equipment imaginable. Landscape was beautiful as well as the Harbor views. The house was immaculate, well cared for, and very inviting. Kathy was a wealth of information providing recommendations for places to go locally and about 100 pamphlets and books about places to go and things to do in the surrounding area. I felt very welcome in this home!!
Gloucester is the oldest working seaport and art colony in America, and prides herself on not being 'touristy'. This is also one of the top five whale watching areas in the world! There's so much to do here: charter fishing, hiking, biking, shopping, kayaking, birding (one of the top areas in the US), sunset schooner cruises, theaters, museums, live music, beautiful beaches, tours, world-class dining. Boston is only 60 minutes away by train or car.
