Fun and relaxing get away!
Great space for large and small families! We went in the Winter, so the pool was closed, but still had great options to spend time in the hot tub, around the indoor fireplace, and ping pong table in the basement. Great views overlooking the lake, with the feel of privacy. Home is very clean and open:). We hope to come back again. Shelly and Marc are very easy to communicate with.
Thank you so much for choosing the Lake House! It was great to have you as our guests. So glad you enjoyed your time and that everything was to your satisfaction. We look forward to having you back again some time soon. Though it was February, the weather has been so nice we might consider having the pool open for the polar bear plunge next time! :) Best regards until then! Shelly
Beautiful location between the "big lake" and small lake
Quiet serene location. Hot tub is wonderful in the winter. Close to Grand Mere, Warren Dunes and town. Lots of bed options. Wish there was one more toilet! Shelly is very nice to work with.
Hi Claire, Thank you so much for staying at the Lake House! We are glad you enjoyed the time and the hot tub too! Please keep us in mind for a future visit, would love to have you and your family back! Best regards, Shelly
Just the perfect mix for our family of four. Even our two college kids appreciate just the perfect mix of alone-time and family game time.
We ventured into st Josephs once and grocery shopped nearby in Stevensville. Mostly we stayed put, enjoying our stay thoroughly.
The hostess took extra care to provide new pots and pans for our steady use of the kitchen.
The lay-out afforded each family member with what was needed to stay present, even when enjoying a bit of privacy between rounds of pingpong.
Modest by appearance outside, the inside of the lake house felt perfectly luxurious with the right mix of zen.
Cold out, we found comfort by the fireplace and in the hot tub!
Everything perfectly clean and orderly, so it was easy to feel much better than “home away from home” thanks to the elegant simplicity.
Would love to return in a warmer season, but Lake Michigan waves were tremendous elixir for those missing our New England perch by the sea.
Hi Karen! Happy New Year! Thank you very much for the wonderful review. We are so glad you enjoyed the time and everything was to your satisfaction. We look forward to having you back again when you're in the area. We also look forward to a future visit to Maine to see you! Thank you again! Best regards, Shelly
Fabulous Fall weekend retreat!
This property is gorgeous! Nestled in between two lakes and perfect for outdoor fun! The fireplace and hot tub were relaxing for the cold Fall evenings! Just a short walk to Lake Michigan for FANTASTIC sunsets!!

Enjoyed the place and location. Shelley is awesome to work with. Highly recommend
This was our 5th year coming to Michigan, but our first year staying at Sunset Path. It was amazing! So clean and the attention to detail of everything made it feel like home. Shelly was so nice and able to be reached and communicated with at any time. The close private beach access, pool, and hot tub were amazing!!!
