What makes this Cabin unique
You will like staying here if you like being off on your own, able to cook your own meals, and close to some really great attractions. The cabin is quiet, without distractions, relaxing, located in a million dollar setting all by yourself. It is not fancy, it is a cabin, and although newly constructed gets used, but is comfortable. It is "of the grid" and not always quite like home. A great place to unplug from technology and to hang out and spend some really fun times with your family or friends.

The outhouse had no heat or light and is not as nice as the picture on the website portrays.
David is very quick to respond so no issues with him! The views at the cabin wear absolutely gorgeous!!!! The couches were beat down & not comfortable & the cabin appeared to be a hunting cabin, even though that’s not allowed there. We’ve been to porta potties in Austin TX in the summer that didn’t smell as bad as the outhouse. The book on the table had a lot of wonderful reviews so if REALLY rustic & beautiful views are your thing this is definitely your place. From the description on the internet we were expecting a comfy place to relax but it wasn’t comfortable at all! We ended up going into Ouray and staying in a hotel!
Vrbo and red mountain cabins r crooks
Worst experience I’ve ever had
This cabin was perfect. Beautiful views - very quite - very clean- a real rustic feel.
Gorgeous location, cozy cabin
The cabin is a bit rustic- perfect for a mountain vacation. There are so many hikes in the area. We loved exploring around the cabin with our kids. Highlights included the creek, a mine, gorgeous wildflowers and porcini mushrooms. The cabin is exactly as advertised. It was August, but it stayed warm with the cool nights even though we didn’t light a fire. We never got sick of the breathtaking view.
Everything was great. Awesome views and very clean. Just a warning, it is close to 11,000 feet. If that's what you are after then this is the place!
Beautiful location in the San Juans
It had everything we needed plus. Gorgeous views and great home base. Even though it is right off 550, it is your own little oasis.
Located on Highway 550 1/2 mile south of the top of Red Mountain Pass, 9 miles north of Silverton and 13 miles south of Ouray.
