The perfect getaway
We had the most amazing time at this beautiful, cosy cottage. We were looking for some peace and quiet away from NYC and this was it! We took the bikes to the closest town for our groceries, which was the cutest and most friendly store we have ever been too. Chris the host was amazing from start to finish and so responsive which made our stay seamless. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and we can’t wait to come back.
Great Place to Unwind to Recover a Sense of Peace
This is a great place to recover a sense of peace. The house is on a farm and the environs are quiet and the view from the house is of a pleasing worked landscape. The area is a lovely place to visit - we really enjoyed walking in the Bryn Coed Natural Lands Trust. The Cottage is small but well equipped and warm.
This was our 2nd stay at this cottage and we use it to simply have a quiet few days. We were able to sit in the enclosed porch with the gas heat on and quietly read all day. Close to many restaurant options. Very happy
The cottage was very comfortable and convenient. The only issue was lack of advance communication on parking and location of keys to the cottage (It was left unlocked for our arrival). Also, there is a gas heater on the porch, and no instructions were available for operating it.
Beauty and serenity in the bucolic countryside
This is a charming home with a very interesting history. The owner lives on the estate and so is easily accessible, although was very respectful of our privacy. Though the cottage is small, the sun porch opens the views up to the outdoors where it was fun to watch the birds from the chaise lounge in front of the fireplace. This is a perfect size for 2 people.
Because we stayed for a month and I usually cook meals at home, the only challenge for me was the small kitchen. The well-seasoned Lodge pans made up for any inconvenience, however, and they were very appreciated! I would highly recommend this property.
Great property for a nice quiet romantic weekend away. We loved the area and the beautiful surroundings. Great cottage and very helpful manager. Highly recommend.
