Cozy Riverfront Cottages

Nestled along the Skootamatta River these Built 2019 a Peaceful Cozy Cottage on the River with one room open concept 240 sqft, A/C & Heat, small fridge, sink, toilet, microwave, hot plate, private deck w/2 chairs, picnic table, bbq, fire pit, queen bed and queen futon, dining table with 4 chairs, cooking & eating supplies. BRING YOUR OWN LINENS. Pet Friendly (1 dog max. 60lbs). No cats allowed.
Suitable for 2 Adults & 2 small children (not recommended for 4 adults).
Canoe or Kayak rentals available at the store on site.
Located one mile from the Eastern Ontario Recreational Trails.
Located in our Campground, Haid's Hideaway Family Campground along the river; enjoy the parks amenities as well.
Swim at the Small Beach or in the Rapids, Bike, Hike, Play on the Big Bouncer, take a lazy river ride on one of our Tubes or just enjoy the song birds while reading a book listening to the water flow over the rapids. No wifi.
Separate Shower Stalls and Laundry facilities available (located steps away @ Main Washrooms). Toilet/Sink in Cottage
Sorry No Tents allowed on cottage properties.
NEAR BY: Chip Truck is a 10 minute drive to Kaladar. Towns of Tweed and Madoc are only a 10 minute drive and they offer full services...LCBO, Beer store, grocery, fuel, restaurants, etc.
NO 1 NIGHT STAYS on Friday or Saturday nights or 2 NIGHT STAYS on any Long Weekend (subject to upcharge of $50+hst at arrival) **NO SATURDAY Arrivals Allowed during our summer months if JULY & AUGUST.
CLOSED: October Thanksgiving Monday until May Long Weekend.

Hidden Gem
Haid's Hideaway was the ideal getaway for our family. The cottage looks exactly like the pictures, and was perfect for our glamping needs!

When we purchased this campground in 2018 we realized that there may be people that would like to enjoy this property that might not be 'campers'. So we designed and built 2 cottages for those people specifically to enjoy! Now everyone can take in the sunsets at our little beach and appreciate what we have here to offer.

Why they chose this property

This property is about 'Simplicity'. No bells or whistles, just the simple beauty and sounds of nature. Friendly atmosphere and relaxation...whether you want to sit on the private deck and stare at the River or take a Walk and talk to others sharing in the glory!

What makes this property unique

We pride ourselves in keeping these 2 little tiny cottages in the best shape possible. They are designed to accommodate those that don't need much space and those that might like to cook and entertain outdoors (supplies available if you need to do this indoors too)!
