Why astrer850 chose Oneroa
We love it because it's close to Oneroa and beaches but in a quiet spot with all day sun - absolutely a must with two cats! Otherwise - you have to decide :-)

Cute and comfortable
All really good enjoyed it all very much
So sorry you didn't have a 5 star stay! We are just a minute away to make it perfect.
4 Seasons in one day.
Nice & quiet place lovely listening to the bird song. Quick walk to Little Oneroa beach and slightly longer walk to village (about 12 mins)
If you don’t mind a bit of hill climbing, and love peace & quiet and convenience, this is a great place to stay. Town is max 15 mins walk away, Littke Oneroa Beach with fresh pizza & calzones til 8PM, and heavy but rideable bikes for free use. There’s a kitchen with all the gear but no stove or dishwasher. Patio, views, fabulous sunsets. Very friendly owners and they’re close by. Fantastic value, staying here.
Hi you sporty two! Still amazed of your fitness levels :-) Just a quick note for future travellers: we do have a BBQ! But correct, no stove :-) Hope to meet you again. Safe travels, Astrid and Marcus
Great place to stay on Waiheke
Very nice apartment, with a real holiday feel about it. Lovely private outdoor area to sit and enjoy the warm evenings. Easy walking distance to beaches & shops. Astrid was a friendly host.
Nice place with all the amenities and a short walk to town.
Lovely place but needs a good clean
I hate writing negative reviews, as the property itself is a sweet eclectic flat and the owners extremely friendly. There were lovely touches with a welcome card and a few treats but the place really does need a big clean. When we arrived we went to put things in the fridge which was dirty and the icebox completely frozen over with half a bag of partially defrosted peas ( freezer wasn’t working optimally) shelves in kitchen cupboards and bathroom were also in need of a clean. There was so much dust throughout the property so it was an uncomfortable stay. There were also so many mosquitoes at night inside despite the windows being shut. Not sure how they got in. We turned on the light during the night and there were 7 on the wall. Whilst we realise this is beyond the owner control, it would’ve been good to have had mosquito/ bug deterrent plugged in. ( we later found some unplugged) Unfortunately being allergic to bites, my eye and face were left with welts. With a thorough clean this would’ve been a super place to stay.
I am sorry to hear you were so dissapointed in your stay. There is no excuse or explaination good enough to get your relaxing holiday back. As we live on the property we would have loved to know about your concerns and would have certainly cleaned to your expectations - it's hard to remedy a situation past. It is very busy at the moment so we must have laxed which I apoligise for. We have unfortunaly a problem with mosquitoes on Waiheke, we know. Hence every room has a mozzie plug in with a little note to plug it at your leger as we do not turn them on as some people prefer the natural citronella candle we offer, we also provide tropical strength skin spray on in bathroom and fly spray. If you would have let us known in advance that you needed an extra bed we actually have one in the apartment. So I hope the free bottle of wine, chocolates, milk, cereal smoothed over your disappointment. Again I apologise and have taken your concerns certainly on board.
