About this property

Stunning coastal views in a movie like setting

A stylish kiwi bach in a movie like setting.

Relax surrounded by endless sea, sky and green pastures with the odd passing train, ship, boat, bird or sheep and the world stretched out in front of you. This is a place to put your feet up, tune into nature and experience the best of what New Zealand has to offer.

Drift in the spa at night and feel part of the milky way. Look out from the spa during the day and feel part of the ocean. If fact, you will actually see the curve of the planet. In summary, we want to share what we feel is an unplifting, unique and special place and hope that you will feel the same.

Please note that I stay and manage the property from the self contained unit seen above the house in the third picture. I keep away from the main house and most guests will never see me as the unit faces away from the sea but I am available to help on request if you text me first.

If you are looking for a truly kiwi experience, this is it.

Special conditions:
Please keep off the surrounding paddocks, particularly during lambing.

Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

Tranquility, endless views
We loved our time in Seacliff. Picturesque, peaceful recharge. Hot tub was delightful. We very much enjoyed visiting the penguins south of Dunedin at the Royal Albatross Centre on the Otago Peninsula.

I'm a young bloke with two wonderful grown up children. I've worked in educational roles in secondary and teriary institutions and these days pick up random jobs that help me get by while still overseeing this place.
I 'm a photographer, a sculptor, a designer and are involved in a variety of sports and activities that get me out and about. I love the outdoors, enjoy meeting people and try to live a life that celebrates all the relationships we have those special to us and with the natural world.

Why they chose this property

This property chose me. After spending 5 years in an earthquake damaged house, I walked onto this land and new instantly that it was where I needed to be. I'm pleased that after 3 years I was able to use my limited skills to transform the dwelling, attract birds with tree plantings and provide a simple, warm and attractive home to live in and share with others. A place nestled into the hills without fuss from where you feel a part of the natural world.

What makes this property unique

You will love the wildlife, beaches,diving, cycling, golf, world class surf and history in this area
