About Jason & Salome
Your hosts are Jason and Salome. We have two children, Luca is 14 and Amelie is 12 years old. Jason and Salome have been married for 16 years. Jason was born in New Zealand and Salome was born in The Netherlands and immigrated with her family when she was 6 years old. Salome can still speak Dutch and some limited French. Before having children Jason and Salome traveled around Europe and have been back once with their children. As a family we enjoy the bush walks around us and also traveling around New Zealand or overseas when we can.
Jason & Salome purchased this Cottage in 2004
Why Jason & Salome chose Titirangi
If you want to be close enough to the center of Auckland city but still enjoy the tranquility of a bush setting then this is definitely the place for you. Here you can certainly enjoy the best of both worlds.
What makes this Cottage unique
This really is a location where you can enjoy the best of both worlds. There are the ever changing bush views and native birds. There are bush walks on your doorstep and there a numerous opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. There are great cafes and eateries only 5 minutes drive away as well as Te Uru, the local art gallery. Further there are local markets as well as some a further drive away that we can recommend. This is a north facing house that gets all day sun, and it is in a quiet location. However if you are missing the hustle and bustle of the city then Auckland City center is only a 30min drive away. Why not take a day out to explore some of the nearby islands. Tiritirmatangi, for example is a local bird sanctuary, which is well worth a visit. If you just want to sit back and relax then the house has a large selection of books for you to enjoy during your stay.

Great family Bach in the bush minutes from great cafes
The property was perfect for our family. Even though it was only ten minutes drive from the little village in Titirangi, the property was surrounded by trees and birds. Anything you may have needed was at the house, games, books, swing set etc. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely self-contained house in a beautiful setting. Lots of native birds around. Quiet. Comfy beds. Very nice owners.
Amazing spot, Great Place to stay.
Amazing spot, Great Place to stay.
Great bach to stay in. Hosts were welcoming. Had everything we needed for our stay, really spacious, liked the books, we will be back. Our five year old loved helping with the chickens, thanks for the hospitality.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Cute and peaceful!
Easy access to great walking trails, gorgeous views of the forested hillsides, and lots of activities for kids. The owners were very friendly and had lots of good ideas about places to visit. Quick drive to the local town, which has lots of good eateries and a small grocery store.
A quaint New Zealand bach in the beautiful native bush. If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil retreat this would be a great option. Walking tracks on your doorstep including the Beveridge track linking directly to the Arataki Visitors Centre. Several Beaches a short driving distance away. Titirangi village half hour walking distance on a picturesque track, includes cafes, shops and and an art gallery. Good bus and train links throughout Auckland. Approximately 30 minutes drive to the center of Auckland City.
Enjoy the benefits of tranquil living while still being close enough to the city center and all it has to offer.
