About Tina Scarborough
We are native Alabamians. We live in Tallassee, Alabama. Joe and I enjoy actively participating in our Church, traveling with our friends, boat rides on Mobile Bay, fishing and shrimping, riding the ferry to Dauphin Island, bike rides in the Fort Morgan and Dauphin Island area, and enjoying the prettiest beach in the world- here in Ft. Morgan!
Tina Scarborough purchased this House in 2000
Why Tina Scarborough chose Gulf Shores
The Fort Morgan area reminds us of how Gulf Shores was forty (40) years ago- prior to the proliferation of condos. Ft. Morgan is a quiet, peaceful place to relax and enjoy the pristine white sandy beach, salt air, and ever-present Gulf breezes; a community of single-family homes, with great neighbors and friends.
What makes this House unique
'Wastin' Away' is a short walk to the beach- the street (Bernard Court East) actually dead ends onto the beach- there is no cutting through other property owner's yards, or walking down the beach front road east or west to access the 'public' areas. The Gulf and Bay views can be enjoyed from the front deck. Since the house is located about a 1/4 mile away from the marina, and less than a mile from the Ft. Morgan historic site with public boat launch and fishing pier, there are a lot of fishing and boating activities available- we enjoy shrimping and fishing in Mobile Bay.

Joe & Tina Scarborough's rental
Very clean, maintained perfectly, & good beach access. Joe & Tina are the best I've dealt with.
We had a great experience and the size of this home was perfect for our small family. Quick and Easy of access to the beach. Pet friendliness is a huge plus, plenty of room to walk your dog. Property owners are very kind, tentative and accommodating. As others have mentioned, the only thing this home could use is some updating and remodeling. For anyone that is curious, they have updated the living room with a very nice HD TV. I think it would be good if they updated the VRBO images to showcase the things that they have updated. All said, this home is completely worth the price for your stay and very clean, great location. The home has everything you would need for your stay in Fort Morgan. We would definitely stay here again.
2nd time at wastin away!
This is the second time we booked wastin away with Joe and Tina. Felt like our home away from home. Time gave us a call our 2nd day there to make sure we got settled in and let her know if we needed anything. House had everything we needed and we truly enjoyed our stay. I believe we will make this a yearly trip:)
I’m so happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay in our home! We hope to see you again!
Nice spot/great location.
Joe and Tina are great. House does need a little updating and shows wear but is priced well.
Great neighborhood and location, nice layout, great value!
Had a great week. If you're looking for the Taj Mahal it's not. But if you're looking for a quiet, comfortable, homie and very affordable this is a great place. Very close to the beach and just far enough away from the rat race.
