Why roy dunlap chose Taos
We like being close to town, yet in a quiet corner near the National Forest. We were used to living in the country and it took for ever to find a house in which we were not staring at the neighbors. The house and grounds are a retreat. We had dreamed of coming to Taos for 15 years and finally bought a this house, retired and made the big move. We moved out of town to follow through on an investment but remain attached to Hacienda Pinon.
What makes this House unique
We have enjoyed entertaining our friends and family in a spacious house that has separate areas to have privacy. Adults can enjoy a fire in the living room while the young ones watch TV in family room. My favorite time of day is dusk as the temperature drops, the mountains splash with color and we enjoy a meal outside on the deck. I remember a guest from the heat of Texas asking whether the house was air conditioned. Actually, even in the midst of summer, the house will stay at a pleasant temperature if one lets the cool evening breezes through the house at night and closes doors and windows in the morning

Greatest Place Ever
This house is the best! Had a family of six out for skiing. Location is right between Angel Fire and Taos Ski Valley. Plenty of room, a hot tub, fully furnished kitchen with lots of spices and amenities. Beautiful sunset over the mountains each night. Great grounds and very helpful owners. We will be back!!
Taos Winter NYE
Our family meets in Taos every year for a ski trip the week after Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for our large group. The house was decorated for the holidays which made it even more enchanting. Lovely home that's well appointed with everything guests might need. Our kiddos enjoyed great sledding hills on the one day we didn't ski. And there was plenty of space for everyone to relax in the evenings. Would love to come back again next year!
Manual wheelchair friendly
Although not completely accessible... this is a fabulous property and manual wheelchair friendly. We loved this home! From the covered drive, the beautifully decorated home with fabulous art, the Vega ceilings, kiva fireplaces, lovely appointed gourmet kitchen, completely fenced yard, and FABULOUS views of the mountains and the Taos valley. Our family was certainly blessed with choosing this home for our vacation. Our daughter was able to do accessible skiing at Ski and Snow Sports at Taos Ski Valley. The owner is very attentive and available if a need arises. We will absolutely return to this home when we are in Taos again!!
Watched Taos Balloon Festival from spacious deck. Very well appointed, large home for family vacati
This property is well maintained and spacious. Very well appointed kitchen and home.
Great location that is close to Taos yet feels very remote.
Can't imagine a more perfect spot from which to enjoy Taos. We could have been content to go nowhere else, taking to the deck or the hot tub to enjoy the diversity of birds in the morning and the constellations at night. Plenty of beautiful spaces from which to enjoy the warm ambience of this beautiful, spacious home, whether alone or as a group. Very close to the center of town and yet convenient to the wonderful adventures that Taos offers. The owner has been very considerate about providing a wealth of information about the many treasures that can be explored in the Taos region.
