Sweet on town stay
We really adored our time in sweet Salida. This home was a very convenient and tidy place for our family. The property manager was also very reachable and reasonable. My only compliant was we stayed in the summer and it was quite hot in the house.
Nice Cottage and Location
We stay in Salida several times a year, using several different VRBO locations and sometimes hotels. We really enjoyed this place. We needed help with the heater when we first arrived and someone came within minutes to help. Good location in a great town. Close to shops, restaurants, and bars and great location for outdoor activities. For some reason, this trip we had several requests/questions for the management company and they were very responsive and helpful.
Townie is our new fav!!!
Our favorite is the bikes here at the "Townie" cottage, we enjoyed a day of riding them all over town during jazz fest by the river yesterday, then fireworks last night!🌻
Clean, comfy, well appointed. Great location in Salida, perfect for 1 or 2 people.
Great size for 1 or a couple. Well appointed. Not a ton of dry food storage. Great backyard and easy off street parking. Great location, close to downtown.
We had a fun trip and hope to come back soon. Good hiking biking and even swimming
Property was clean and well appointed. Easy to walk and bike to town as well as to bike to mtn bike trails
Better than I expected
This place was much much better than I thought it would be. It is a very clean place with everything you could need. The kitchen appliances are fantastic. There is plenty of silverware and cooking utensils. Management answered when I called and were very helpful. Other than the one phone call I made to them, they leave you alone and provide you with everything you need for your stay.
The location of the house is also really great. It is walking distance to downtown and a few more restaurants off of the other main road. It is 20-30 minutes to Monarch and that was super convenient. There are things to do in the town. There is the River Walk, a Winery and a Bowling alley. There are a few good restaurants too. We really liked Moonlight Pizza and Shallots (A little pricey). 50 Burger was pretty good. And Wallbangers food was very good but the service was meh and crowd there was not our scene.
Overall, the trip was great and everything went off without a hitch.
Around the corner from Alpine park and the weekly (Saturday) farmer's market, June through October.
