About Jim and Lori Leidholm
We finished building our cabin in 2006 with 90% of the work completed by us. It took us 4 years to complete the cabin and we enjoy our cabin year round but rent the cabin out when we are not able to enjoy it ourselves.
Jim and Lori Leidholm purchased this Cabin in 2006

A wonderful Christmas
We absolutely loved our stay! The house is beautiful and very nice. Exactly how it looks and is described online. They even had a decorated Christmas tree for us!!
My children loved playing out in the snow in the very large driveway, with just enough of a slope to use the sleds we took with us!
If we decide to go back next year this is the first place we will try to rent! It’s the best!
We loved every minute of our stay at the cabin. The area is so beautiful! Disappointed that we never saw the moose that all other reviews had but we did see moose on the road and in RMNP.
The house was in a great location, it was very quiet & peaceful. It was very homey too with a great kitchen & porch. We also enjoyed the fire pit. We would like to return one day.
Beautiful Quiet Home
The property is exactly as described. It was lovely and quite spacious for two families with toddlers. We enjoyed the beautiful porch and watching the hummingbird eat from the feeder. The lack of wifi or cell service did not hinder our fun. We were well aware of this beforehand. It was actually a nice respite from technology.
Excellent cabin outside of Granby
We really liked the cabin. It was close enough to a lot of major attractions including RMNP. Cell service is spotty and there was no WiFi but I don’t think that is a draw back at all. We saw moose, mule deer, and foxes near the property routinely!
We had an amazing time at the cabin. We had a moose visit us every day on the property. We saw deer, fox and an eagle. The property is 10 minutes from the main road and 20 minutes from Grandby and Grand Lake. The property is far enough from town to enjoy the wild life, yet not too far from town. There was so much to do in the area. We rented a boat on Granby lake, shopping in Grand Lake and went horse back riding, all no farther than 30 mins away. We sat out on the porch and watched the hummingbirds visit the feeder. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. There is a gas grill, fully equipped kitchen and even a washer and dryer! If you are looking for a wilderness experience, this is the place for you! We hope to back and stay again. Thank you Lori and Jim for sharing your beautiful home with us! We will be back!
Cabin is located approximately 1/2 mile from National Forest with access to National Forest and 20 minutes to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is also 20 minutes from docking your boat on Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Lake and 20 minutes also to Grand Lake. You can ATV, Snowmobile, MotoCross, Hike or Cross Country Ski from front yard. Fly fishing in the great Colorado River is only 20 minutes away in Rocky Mountain National Park where the river starts, a larger portion of the stream between Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Granby is 20 minutes or it gets even larger approximately 30 minutes away along Highway 40 towards Kremmling. Not mentioned is numerous streams for fly fishing brook trout but the main fly fishing is Browns and Rainbows in the Colorado River. There is great golf to 3 excellent courses with in 20 minutes also that anybody who golf's would enjoy.
