About Lee Solomon
Originally from the Midwest, I came to NYC over 30 years ago to pursue Art and Architecture. The cottage has become my opportunity to create a tranquil refuge from the urban life. For the past couple of years, the cottage has been in the process of being transformed into 'The Magic House'. And now, it is my pleasure to present this beautiful vacation property for summer rentals.
Lee Solomon purchased this House in 2007
Why Lee Solomon chose Village of East Hampton
The cottage is special for the simplicity of the layout, the elegance in proportion and the north, south, east and west exposures for natural daylight. The location is situated among protected wetlands and nature preserves, bay area beaches and a long standing artist colony. The deer, turkeys, raccoons, rabbits, turtles and birds have made this area their home. At night, the moon and stars are especially bright, since there is no competition from street lights or traffic signals. A quarter of the lots in this neighborhood are undeveloped and are filled with native woodland species. Here you will find no sidewalks, streetlights and very few signs. All of this makes for tranquil country living in a first class beach resort town.
What makes this House unique
The biggest secret in East Hampton is the outstanding natural beauty to be enjoyed, in all of the four seasons. While the summer is famous for the ocean beaches; the winter is lovely with the peaceful nature preserves and the cozy fireplace, the spring is surprising for the variety of flowers and wildlife, and the fall is spectacular with the changing colors of the leaves. There is year round hiking, horseback riding, theater, shopping and fine dining.

It was nice nd the owner comunicated well nd i highly recommend her property
It was a fantastic stay at this house. Our two kids slept comfortably and we had a quiet bedroom to ourselves converted from the garage. There is a Maidstone public beach near the house. Kids friendly with no big waves. It requires a parking permit for the lot but you can find space a little further away from the beach and walk.
It is not that far from Hither Hills beach and East Hampton downtown either. Overall, it was a wonderful location to a lot of beautiful places to explore.
