Comfortable apartment with fantastic views of Cassis
A lovely and comfortable apartment with a large balcony and stunning views over Cassis. An easy walk downhill into the port where there are many good bars and restaurants. There is also a good boulangerie, butchers and grocers for fresh produce a short distance from the apartment. A wonderful stay. Thank you.
Comeback any time.
Great Stay in Cassis
Cassis is a hidden gem. You can view it from your balcony morning, noon and night, from this gorgeous apartment. Well located and walking distance to town, the beach and local shops. It's quiet residential block with its own pool- which was a total joy!
Can't rate this property or Cassis highly enough. What a lovely place. Then there is the natural beauty right alongside with Europe's largest nature park and the Calanques. Do take one of the boat tours during your stay. We had intended to take days out in the car- but didn't- as there was so much to absorb you right here.
We want to book again in the walking season rather than high summer.
This was a total pleasure from beginning to end. It felt like a house swap- not a holiday apartment- such was the offer from Roland.
Thank you, Nick. Your nice review is very much appreciated. See you soon.
Fantastic apartment with stunning view
We've just spent a wonderful week in this great apartment - it was spotless and had everything you could wish for - the sun umbrellas for the beach were particularly welcome! The beds were really comfy and the kitchen very well equipped. The balcony was a fantastic place to spend time and enjoy the view over Cassis, particularly on 15th August when we were treated to a birds-eye view of the most spectacular firework display over the harbour! Cassis itself is a really pretty town with a huge number of boutique shops, bars and restaurants and a lovely (non-sandy) beach. The climb up to the apartment from the town was a challenge - uphill all the way, including 88 steps but this was more than made up for by the use of the lovely pool! A real bonus!
Thank you Roland for being so attentive during our stay - we really appreciated it. We had a lovely week and didn't want to come home!
Well, you should have stayed or maybe comeback for another visit. It will be a pleasure.
Thank you for your very nice review.
Family trip to Cassis
We really enjoyed our stay at Roland’s condo in Cassis. It had everything that we needed to feel at home. The floor to ceiling windows, balcony and view was the highlight. It was very hot but there was always a cool breeze in the evening while we sat looking out over Cassis.
Thank you, Jessica; I hope to see you soon.
Gorgeous view from 3 bedroom apartment!
The apartment is spacious and has a functional kitchen with full sized refrigerator. The owner is great to work with. One of the three bedrooms has twin bunk beds. It was too early (and cold) for us to use the pool.
There is a short steep walk to town. Not a problem going down but very difficult with groceries to walk back up.
This apartment would work best for a family with a car. There is a garage and remote control to make that very convenient. There are good restaurants and shops in town. Dinner starts for most restaurants after 7 pm and there were no taxis after 6 pm.
We enjoyed the apartment and Cassis. Our group was comprised of three women in their 70’s without a car so there were challenges. Mostly because the train station was difficult to use and because taxis were so difficult to find and after 6 impossible.
Thank you for your nice comments. I do agree with you that a car is a plus.
Another fabulous stay at Rolands!!
Happy to say the apartment was just as I remembered from my first visit. The view is incredible and the amount of space for 4 adult women was perfect. The little town of Cassis beckoned us down at least once a day for shopping and gelato! A great stay once again....
Thank you, I appreciate you coming back.
Cassis is located near Marseille (a 7th BC Phocean colony) in Provence. You will find Aix and Avignon nearby where summer music and dance festivals are held. Cassis is surrounded by 'The Calanques', a national park, white cliffs around fingers of deep blue water. The Calanques are a perfect place to hike and have an afternoon picnic and bath in a secluded cove. Cassis produces a well known and delicious white wine. Also, twice a week you can go in the center of town to the local outside market for fresh produces. Most week-end, there are art expositions by local artists: painting, pottery. This beautiful apartment overlook the little harbor, the view is gorgeous.
If you are interested with hiking, please let me know because I have documented a number of very interesting hikes.
