About Pat Rooney
Pat and Sara live in Dallas, TX. We have 3 adult children who have loved coming to Roatan when we can for the past years
Pat Rooney purchased this House in 2009
Why Pat Rooney chose Roatán
We bought this land for its perfect location between west bay and west end, tucked in the lush jungle, up the hill from the sand for the perfect view, fresh breezes and private setting without being in the middle of nowhere. We enjoy the restaurants, shops and nightlife...but really enjoy coming back to our quiet secluded home. Love our fresh water plunge pool, watching sunsets, having the beach such a close walk, catching fresh fish, swimming, diving the beautiful reef or just relaxing.
What makes this House unique
Beautiful beaches, fantastic coral reef, great local people with a mix of cultures and not over built with concrete and high rises. This is the perfect 'anti-Cancun' where you can truly feel you are in a different world (not just a better climate with same fast food) and only a few hours from home...what's not to like?!!

Casa Siene is perfect for a group or family that needs some space to spread out.
The location is fabulous! ... just a 1 minute walk down to beach area and dock to catch a water taxi. It is a easy 10 minute beach walk to West End or West Bay. Don't really need a vehicle.
The home is older but has everything you need for a great island vacation. Very comfortable for our dive group of 10. The owner and property management company were great. They helped us get settled in and we had a blast.
Glad to host Michael and his group, happy they had great weather and a nice week on the island!
Great location/adequate house
Enjoyed the proximity to the beach and two upscale resorts with restaurants. Expected to have hot water and access to the pool, but both were limited. The pool was drained and refilled for the last two days of our stay. The hot water never really worked. Cooking was challenged by few utensils, pots and pans. The house did have an adequate number of beds and the weather was cool so we didn't need air conditioning.
just wish in one of the many times we communicated throughout the week there would have been a mention of hot water or utensils ..just tested water heater and it is perfect, also 3 fry pans and 2 large pots...more in storage but didn't hear a mention till this after the fact? confusing after all we did to accommodate during one of the worst storm weeks of the year. Pool had to be drained and cleaned due to excessive leaves and debris from storm. We can't control mother nature, but very proud of everything our property managers did to to way over and above...its unfortunately they weren't happier nor communicate in real time.
Really enjoyed our stay and people were friendly and trustworthy.
It was GREAT!!!
Feb. 22-Mar. 15. , 2018. Recently our group, (7-10 adults), vacationed at beautiful Casa Sienna for 3 weeks. Each couple had their own ,individual controlled air-conditioned bedroom. The 3.5 bathrooms provided sufficient privacy to shower and get ready for our actioned-packed days. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals when we just needed a quiet meal in. The grocery store in Coxen Hole had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed our fresh grouper we caught on a fishing excursion! I would suggest to Pat and Sarah to purchase a few wine glasses. Us Canadians enjoy a nice glass of wine with our dinner. We tried to buy some but could not find anywhere? The plunge pool was a welcome addition to the house after a hot day, either sitting on the deck or when we return ed from a day sight-seeing. Although the magnificent bird, the macaw, was difficult to get a good picture of, we sure had fun trying. Each morning and evening we tried our best to time it in order to get a close-up photo of them , with no success. The view of the rain forest, the ocean, and the cruise ships from the top deck was spectacular! The 3 minute walk to the beach was great however the walk back to the house up the steep hill was a workout, especially in the 30 celcius weather. I would not recommend to anyone with any sort of health issues. Pat and Sarah were always available to answer any questions we had about the house. We would recommend renting a car. Now that we are back in Canada and still experiencing cold weather, we all miss Roatan and all the beauty of the island. I personally love the fact that Roatan is not commercialized like most other islands we have visited. If you are adventurous, Casa Sienna and Roatan should be one of your next vacation spots!!
Thanks guys! appreciate you putting up with the little construction project as well. We always try to keep up with replacing wine glasses so if you ever come back down we'll make sure we've got plenty to go with your grouper!

Nice location and good house
I am glad i found Casa Sienna. It was spacious with all amenities. We faced 2 problems but nothing major. The fridge upstairs didn't work for the entire stay. The caretaker of the place tried to fix it but it still didnt work. But I won't call it a big problem because there was another fridge downstairs. Also, the power went out one day for about 3-4 hours. The generator back up was there for an hour or so but then that was gone too. But I don't see it as a big problem either because i was able to jump in the pool to cool myself! The place is very close to west bay and west end and there are always water taxis at the dock. I highly recommend this place to people travelling with big families who don't want to spend a fortune living in hotels.
We had a group of 4 stay here for a week and I really can't say enough about the property. Everything was clean and fairly well taken care of. There were a few hiccups during the week but Raphael who stays at the house was always there to help out. The views from the pool and the deck were fantastic and the sunset cannot be beat. Everything that you could possibly need (minus food) is provided for everyone staying there.
On top of that just about every morning and night the macaw's would fly over the house from nearby Gumbalimba Park or West Bay and West End. We really had a great time in the house and on the island and were so happy that we rented a house rather than staying in a resort.
Thanks Mark, it was good to hear the great review about the brand new restaurant at the bottom of our road, another bonus for folks looking to stay in a house vs. resort.
Our house is 100 meters up the hill from the beach between West Bay and West End. About 10-15 min walk to along the shore to West Bay beach or a 3 minute water taxi to West Bay and 5 min water taxi to West End. One minute walk to the beach in front of our house.
